A-AA Girls Individual Predictions

100 M	1. Maggie Robinson	Martinsburg
	2. Rosalyn Cary Capital
	3. Lindsey Stewart	Hampshire
	4. Jenny Rayburn	Hurricane
	5. Kris Morris Jefferson
	6. Adrienne Fitch	Cabell Midland
Robinson gets Cary on the lean.

200 M	1. Jenny Rayburn	Hurricane
	2. Maggie Robinson	Martinsburg
	3. Lindsey Stewart	Hampshire
	4. Rosalyn Cary Capital
	5. Kris Morris Jefferson
	6. Jada Davis Keyser
A now-healthy Jenny Rayburn gets the nod to win what should
be a tight final.

400 M	1. Kris Morris Jefferson
	2. Melissa Hamrick	Roane
	3. Zaia Wharton Elkins
	4. Amanda Hall Fairmont Senior
	5. Ariel Davis Elkins
	6. Emily Quinlan	Morgantown
This is one of the races we're looking most forward as we
had great difficulty in picking a winner. Any of the first
five could win it.

800 M	1. Holly Hunter East Fairmont
	2. Ariel Davis Elkins
	3. Giti Farudi University
	4. Sarah Ogle St. Albans
	5. Michelle VanHorn	Jefferson
	6. Susan Davis Hampshire
What a great pack of runners. The winner could be someone
not on the list. There are at least two potential winners
that didn't get picked in our top six. Hunter gets the nod
after receiving more rest time between the 1600 and 800 at
the state meet than she had at the regional.

1600 M	1. Holly Hunter East Fairmont
	2. Susan Davis Hampshire
	3. Sarah Ogle St. Albans
	4. Michelle VanHorn	Jefferson
	5. Jennifer Davis	Hampshire
	6. Katharine Gorrell	George Washington
Will Davis and Hunter push each other under the 5:00 barrier?
Hunter ran a 5:02.72 in her region without anyone pushing her.
We could witness WV Track History!

3200 M	1. Holly Hunter East Fairmont
	2. Susan Davis Hampshire
	3. Jennifer Davis	Hampshire
	4. Sarah Corley Fairmont Senior
	5. Sarah Ogle St. Albans
	6. Stephanie Eastman	Roane
The Davis twins did the unthinkable in Cross Country season
in knocking off Hunter. That makes them legitimate threats
in this race, but they haven't yet shown the track speed
that Hunter has. Eastman is a bit of a wild-card having only
run the 3200 a couple times in her career.

100 HH	1. Latoya Parks Martinsburg
	2. Erica Reese Capital
	3. Rebecca Ripoli	Fairmont Senior
	4. Alana Raines Parkersburg South
	5. Jennifer Boyer	Jefferson
	6. Crystal Brown	Parkersburg South
Parks shouldn't really be contested in this one, and the
first 3 look pretty solid.

300 LH	1. Rebecca Ripoli	Fairmont Senior
	2. Melissa Hamrick	Roane
	3. Kimba Hissom Huntington
	4. Erica Reese Capital
	5. Briana Jones Parkersburg
	6. Jade Barney Musselman
Intriguing match-up in this one. Hamrick and Hissom have
split two recent battles. Jones has a time to match either
of them. Reese and Ripoli are more than capable. The winner
could go under 47 seconds.

4x100 M	1. Jefferson
	2. Martinsburg
	3. Capital
	4. Huntington
	5. Hurricane
	6. Wheeling Park
Jefferson is the odds-on favorite, but bad hand-offs will
doom a team in the 4 X 100.

4x200 M	1. Capital
	2. Martinsburg
	3. Hurricane
	4. Fairmont Senior
	5. Huntington
	6. Jefferson
Capital could bury the competition in this one. They own
by far the best time in the field.

4x400 M	1. Elkins
	2. Hurricane
	3. Fairmont Senior
	4. Jefferson
	5. Parkersburg South
	6. East Fairmont
Elkins has two girls that can run 60 for their legs.
Hurricane counters with two of their own that can run in
the 59 to 61 range. Who has the best 3rd and 4th runners?
We're betting it's Elkins. Fairmont Senior is a threat is
their 300 Meter Hurdlers run.

4x800 M 1. Elkins
	2. Jefferson
	3. Fairmont Senior
	4. Buckhannon-Upshur
	5. Hedgesville
	6. Wheeling Park
We could see 3 teams under 10:00 minutes, and don't be surprised
if somebody goes under 9:50.

Shuttle	1. Parkersburg
	2. Parkersburg South
	3. Martinsburg
	4. Fairmont Senior
	5. John Marshall
	6. Woodrow Wilson
Parkersburg and Parkersburg South have been tight all year.
Aggressiveness on the exchanges could be the difference in
the race.

L Jump	1. Latoya Parks Martinsburg
	2. Katie Taylor St. Albans
	3. Alisha Hopkins	Oak Hill
	4. Lindsey Stewart	Hampshire
	5. Roxanne Ward Parkersburg
	6. Andi Rose Wheeling Park
Parks owns the only AAA 17' jump this season. Hopkins and
Taylor had the only 16' jumps at Regional Meets.

H Jump 1. Dori Glance Fairmont Senior
	2. Erin Compton Oak Hill
	3. Roxanne Ward Parkersburg
	4. Sarah McVay Cabell Midland
	5. Nancy Regalbuto	Hedgesville
	6. Amy McVay Cabell Midland
Glance is far and away the favorite. Compton is queen of
the field events.

Discus	1. Erin Compton Oak Hill
	2. Patrice King Wheeling Park
	3. Mary Wilson Roane
	4. Allison Burner	Parkersburg
	5. Brandy Helmick	Jefferson
	6. Ilora Cipolat	Woodrow Wilson
It will take a phenomenal effort for anyone to knock off
Compton in the Discus. She owns a throw 30 feet further
than anyone else in the field.

Shot	1. Brandy Helmick	Jefferson
	2. Roxanne Ward Parkersburg
	3. Allison Burner	Parkersburg
	4. Lisa Cooper Nitro
	5. Erin Compton Oak Hill
	6. Patrice King Wheeling Park
Helmick has the only 40' toss in the field. Ward and Burner
have multiple throws of 38' or better.

P Vault	1. Angela Wallace	Parkersburg
	2. Erin Compton Oak Hill
	3. Darcy Thompson	Fairmont Senior
	4. Mary Beth Held	Parkersburg
	5. Lindsey Litton	Parkersburg
	6. Kristen Wellman	John Marshall
Wallace has the only 9' jump in the competition. Held and
Litton had vaults of 9' last year, so they must be regarded
as threats. Compton vaulted 8'6 at her region with no
competition.
