Capital's strength in the relays gives them the advantage.
Buckhannon-Upshur is deceptively strong, and never rule out
Cabell Midland who could score quite a bit more than predicted.

Yes, after hours of deliberation about the individual events,
we added up the totals and found to our horror that we had
picked a tie...and we stand by it.  However, if either of us
was forced to pick a champion, we pick Fairmont Senior based
on greater upward potential in the meet for their athletes.
Any of the first 4 teams have shots at walking away with the
team championship.

Magnolia is a solid favorite, but a couple poor relay handoffs
and Williamstown is right back in the mix.  The other two
contenders (Ritchie and Winfield) lack either the depth or the
front-runners to beat either of the favorites.

Doddridge, Weir, and Magnolia have shots at winning this meet.
If Doddridge or Magnolia wins, it will be because of superior
depth.  If Weir wins, it will be because of standout performances
in a few events.  Weir will only be competing in 7 of the 18
events at the state meet.  Winfield could finish higher than
projected if all their athletes perform well.
