A-AA Girls Individual Predictions

100 M	1. Ciara Chic DuPont
	2. Pam Nettles Richwood
	3. Cindy Meadows	Gauley Bridge
	4. Amanda Shiflett	Tygarts Valley
	5. Amy Miller Bridgeport
	6. Kristin Roman	Wheeling Central
Ciara Chic only recently discovered she could run this event.
Nettles, as the defending champ, has a legitimate shot at
upsetting Chic.

200 M	1. Andrea Perry Valley Fayette
	2. Pam Nettles Richwood
	3. Patty Mallon Charleston Catholic
	4. Hope Bishop-Riggs	Weir
	5. Mandy Weese Tyler
	6. Amy Miller Bridgeport
After a year on the softball field, Andrea Perry is back where
she belongs...on the track as one of the fastest girls in
West Virginia. Nettles is again a threat to win.

400 M	1. Ciara Chic DuPont
	2. Patrice Smith	Weir
	3. Chayna Johnson	Doddridge
	4. Kelley Moran Doddridge
	5. Jamie Sindledecker	Petersburg
	6. Erica Tuckwiller	Greenbrier West
Chic comes in as the heavy favorite, but the top three could
all go under 60 seconds.

800 M	1. Jessica Taylor	Fayetteville
	2. Kelley Moran Doddridge
	3. Virginia Waugh	Midland Trail
	4. Tiffany Smith	Gilmer
	5. Sherri Flohr Grafton
	6. Sarah Peard Magnolia
No one has shown they can run with Taylor, but Waugh ran a
2:23 last year, and Moran owns a 2:23 relay split this year.

1600 M	1. Jessica Taylor	Fayetteville
	2. Kayla Lester Winfield
	3. Erin Boggs Braxton
	4. Heather McDaniel	Grafton
	5. Sherri Flohr Grafton
	6. Sally Holtgrewe	Williamstown
Taylor should dominate the event. Her top time of 5:13 is
18 seconds better than anyone else in the field.

3200 M	1. Jessica Taylor	Fayetteville
	2. Erin Boggs Braxton
	3. Heather McDaniel	Grafton
	4. Sally Holtgrewe	Williamstown
	5. Jessica Tusing	East Hardy
	6. Missy Spangler	Ritchie
After Taylor, this is really a toss up. Remember, Taylor
barely edged Tusing at the state cross country meet.

100 HH	1. Heidi Mercer Tyler
	2. Nicole West Magnolia
	3. Andrea Lambert	South Harrison
	4. Jessie Fisher	Moorefield
	5. Kristin Winland	Williamstown
	6. Janelle King Williamstown
The absence of Jackie Dight makes this a wide open race.
Mercer and West should duel for the victory. West won their
regional meeting, but Mercer will prevail at the state meet.

300 LH	1. Jackie Dight Weir
	2. Andrea Lambert	South Harrison
	3. Emily Smith Magnolia
	4. Andrea Saucerman	Tygarts Valley
	5. Jessie Fisher	Moorefield
	6. Virginia Waugh	Midland Trail
This is one of the biggest locks of the meet. Dight dominates
this event.

4x100 M	1. Valley Fayette
	2. Tyler
	3. Tygarts Valley
	4. Weir
	5. Bridgeport
	6. Doddridge
The combination of Andrea Perry leading off and Kristen Newman
running anchor is too much to overcome.

4x200 M	1. Weir
	2. Valley Fayette
	3. Doddridge
	4. Wheeling Central
	5. Winfield
	6. Oak Glen
Weir has a dominant 4X200 team, too much for Perry/Newman
to overcome.

4x400 M	1. Weir
	2. Doddridge
	3. Magnolia
	4. East Hardy
	5. Grafton
	6. Midland Trail
Weir and Doddridge should be a titanic battle (and this event
could decide the Team Title). Weir has two girls that can
run a 60 second leg, and so does Doddridge. Whoever has the
stronger other two legs will win the event.

4x800 M 1. Doddridge
	2. Midland Trail
	3. Magnolia
	4. Grafton
	5. Charleston Catholic
	6. Ritchie
This really should be a two team race. Doddridge appears
a bit stronger and has a shot at going under 10 minutes.

Shuttle	1. Magnolia
	2. Weir
	3. Williamstown
	4. Doddridge
	5. Grafton
	6. Tyler
Any of the top 3 teams could come away with the win. Magnolia
has the edge based on their earlier success.

L Jump	1. Cindy Meadows	Gauley Bridge
	2. Andrea Perry Valley Fayette
	3. Pam Nettles Richwood
	4. Jann Duhnam Paden City
	5. Jennifer Haddix	Grafton
	6. Nicole West Magnolia
Everyone on this list has jumped over 16' this year, but
Meadows has jumped over 17'...and she's done it twice.

H Jump 1. Heidi Mercer Tyler
	2. Chrystal O'Dell	Valley Fayette
	3. Mary Greene Richwood
	4. Heather Quinet	Magnolia
	5. Tiffany Sutton	Doddridge
	6. Ginny Keener Grafton
Despite being upset at the regional meet Mercer is a heavy
favorite having jumped 5'6 earlier in the year. If Greene
is at full strength following her lengthy injury absence,
she is a threat to win.

Discus	1. Vickie Swords	Magnolia
	2. Allison Ritz Liberty Harrison
	3. Jennifer Tant	Winfield
	4. Theresa Melko	Bridgeport
	5. Lucinda Huffman	Ritchie
	6. Jocelyn Fiedorczyk	Madonna
Swords gets the nod based on consistency, but each of the
first four have a shot at winning. Ritz has the top throw
in the state. Tant has set personal bests in her last two
meets, and Melko owns a few victories over Ritz.

Shot	1. Alicia Dickson	St. Marys
	2. LeAnn Lemon Williamstown
	3. Michelle McGinnis	Winfield
	4. Cassandra Barker	Buffalo
	5. Kristi Jones Pendleton
	6. Lucinda Huffman	Ritchie
We're picking the Freshman to win this one. She's been
improving all year and has set personal bests in her last
two meets (conference and region).

P Vault	1. Lisa Davis Doddridge
	2. Jennifer Jenkins	Winfield
	3. Ashley Dunn Parkersburg Catholic
	4. Bethany Sitachitta	Williamstown
	5. Teresa Mason Williamstown
	6. Karen Kellar Doddridge
Davis is a heavy favorite in this event, owning a vault
nearly a foot higher than any other competitor. Jenkins
and Dunn each have 9' vaults under their belts, and Dunn
has a head-to-head victory over Davis.
