We are attempting to get trials times from 1978, 1983 and 1984 as well as times for AAA Boys in 1998. Those are not yet included on this list.
Special Notes: Prior to 1972, only first place times were typically reported. This means that there may be a name or two that deserved to be on these lists that are not due to the lack of information. If anyone has access to full results from 1914-1971, please forward them to us and we'll be glad to include them in this listing.
This ran has been ran at a mulitude of distances since it's inception. The distances have included 220 yards, 200 yards, 180 yards, 165 meters (all at the low setting) and then the 300 meters at both intermediate and low settings. All times and settings have been converted to today's distances and height. We used the standard formula to convert all times to 300 meters. To convert low hurdle times to intermediate times, we compared the last three years of 300M low hurdle times to the first three years of 300M intermediate hurdle times. We did this for all six places in both AAA and AA-A divisions. The difference between the two times for each year and place was caculated as an average difference. The highest and lowest differences were then removed to help eliminate any possible anomolies. The four remaining differences were then averaged to come up with an average converstion time for the low hurdles to the intermediate hurdles for 300 meters. This set of calcuations came up with .83 seconds as the amount that needed to be added onto anyone running the low hurdles to make them equal to the intermediate times.
