I'm sure most of you are already aware of a
new NCAA Rule for the 2007-08 school year…But just in case I thought I would
forward information regarding the NCAA Clearinghouse as it pertains to the
recruiting process. On August 1st the NCAA enacted a new rule that
requires all prospective student-athletes to register
with the NCAA Clearinghouse prior to making an Official Visit
to a University campus. I copied the following from the NCAA
Clearinghouse web site:
"In order for you (a student) to participate in athletics at the
collegiate level you must register with the NCAA Initial-Eligibility
Clearinghouse and meet academic and amateurism eligibility standards. In order
to register with the Clearinghouse, you must have a valid
