• Ran at Frankfort High from (2009-2013)

• While at Frankfort High - Katie was coached by Amanda Moreland during her freshman and sophomore year in cross country, while Woody Snoberger took over her junior and senior year. Jan’s track coaches were Amanda Moreland and Juan Phillips.

• Three-time WV All-State Cross Country Selection (2010, 2011, 2012)

• Individual State Cross Country Runner-Up (2012), while placing third as a junior (2011) and fourth as a sophomore (2010)

• Finished as the individual state runner-up (19:23.52) and lead the Falcons to a second place finish at the 2012 State Championship

• Two-time WV Group AA-A Region 2 Cross Country Champion (2011, 2012)

• WV Group AA-A Region 2 Cross Country Runner-Up (2010)

• Three-time Potomac Valley Conference Small School Cross Country Runner-Up (2010, 2011, 2012)

• Ran the 1600-meter event in 5:07.11 for a personal-record

• Earned three varsity letters in basketball and captained the team as a senior

Noteworthy: Katie Jan did run the WV Group AA-A Regional 2 Cross Country Championship her freshman year, but had an allergic reaction to something in the air and ended up passing out and not finishing the race.
