We received the following information from Matt Feinberg about a week ago. If you know of any former WV High School athletes who are excelling at the collegiate level, please let us know. Leah McDonald, 1998 graduate of Charleston Catholic High School, recently won the Maine Collegiate track and field championship in the 400m dash. McDonald is undefeated this year in that event. Soon, she will compete in the ECAC Indoor Championships, and possibly the NCAA division 3 championships. Leah runs for Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Charleston Catholic currently has seven collegiate runners: Timmy and Brian Opperman (class of '95) at Iona College (division 1), McDonald ('98), Katherine Kapo ('98) at Kenyon College (D - 3), John Skaggs ('98) at Wingate University (D-3), Tori Sturgeon ('98) at Cal- Tech (Div. 1) and Sarah Feinberg ('95) (injury) at Washington and Lee University (d-3). Zach Warren ('99) has signed to run at Earlham College next year.
