The following information was sent to us from Coach Kristine
Alvarez of Morgantown High School.

As many coaches are already aware, Monongalia County has recently 
added an 8-lane all weather track facility for Morgantown and 
University High School.  It The facility is located at Westwood Middle 
School.  We have been informed that all the necessary equipment for 
running/hosting track meets has been ordered and is currently at the 
track.  (Note:  None of the track coaches in Mon. County have seen or 
taken inventory of this equipment yet because of time constraints, etc. 
However, we have been assured by our Asst. Superintendent that the 
equipment is here.)  As soon as we have all the details about what we 
can offer in terms of meets, etc.  we'll get that information out to 
coaches.  Our plan for this track season is to ATTEMPT to host one small 
meet.  Details have already been passed on to schools who will participate 
in this meet.  We want very much to make this facility available for 
Invitational-sized Track Meets during future track seasons so that all 
coaches and athletes can run on this track.  So look for us to be sending 
out information about meets during the 99-00 season!  We're excited
about this new facility!
