Herbert Hoover's Maysen Fletcher has been named the 2025 West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year, making her a repeat winner from last year. Fletcher was once again stellar throughout the season and came home with 3 individual State Meet Titles, this time at the AAA level. She clocked times of 2:12.69 in the 800 Meter Run, 4:50.39 in the 1600 Meter Run, and 10:17.13 in the 3200 Meter Run. She also anchored the 3rd place 4x800 Meter Relay team. She has had a busy post-season as well. She took 2nd in the One Mile Run and 5th in 3200 Meter Run in 10:09.36 at the Music City Track Carnival. She followed that with a 3rd place finish in the 1 Mile at the Brooks PR Invitational in 4:40.86 (4:39.23 Converted). Most recently, she took 15th in the 1 Mile and 13th in the 2 Mile at New Balance Nationals.
