NOTE #1: We have 16 schools planning to attend this meet. As a result, we will only allow three individuals and one relay team per school. Preston High does not dismiss until 3:15 p.m. Teams will not be able to park at the Preston High complex until 3:30 p.m. Teams arriving before this time will be directed to Central Preston Middle School to park. Please refer to this link for the locations for team tents and the field events. Team Tents / Field Events
NOTE #2: We are looking for clerks / field event judges for our events this spring. For those individuals that are certified track officials, we (Central Preston Middle School) will pay $75 per clerk / field event judge. If a school would like to be completely in charge of a field event, and are not certified officials, we will send a check in the amount of $75 to your program. This is open to all schools in attendance and Preston High School. Please contact meet director, Paul Martin, at 304 290-3772 or pwmartin@k12.wv.us if you would like to assist. We will fill the spots with certified officials first and then school representatives.
Dear Administrators and Track & Field Coaches,
We look forward to hosting your middle school team to a modified one-session meet on Monday, April 7, 2025. Aurora, Barrackville, Bruceton, Buckhannon Upshur, Central Preston, Heritage Christian, Mountaineer (Mon), South (Mon), South Preston, Southern Garrett, St. Francis, Suncrest, Taylor County, Terra Alta - East Preston, West Preston, and Westwood will be competing in the meet. Veteran meet referee, Dave Hickman, will be the starter. The first rotation for field events will take place at 4:15 p.m. Running events will begin at 4:45 p.m.
As indicated above, please only enter three athletes and one relay team per school. Due to the absence of the shuttle hurdle relay, middle school boys will run 30 hurdles in the 100 hurdles. We will only do three attempts in the long jump, shot put, and discus. There will not be a separate finals in these events. Due to the pole vault mats being damaged in the spring of 2023, we will not contest the pole vault at the Monday, April 7th meet. We apologize for any inconvenience this may create for your athletes.
We will be using Athletic.net for our meets this year. An invitation to participate has already been sent to your email. Please follow the instructions to register your team and enter your athletes.
