Hurricane's Ty Steorts has been named the 2025 West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year. Steorts capped another stellar campaign with State Championships in the 3200 Meter Run and the 1600 Meter Run, setting a State Meet Record in the 1600 Meter Run in the process. He had the top times in the State this year in those two events and had the 2nd fastest 800 Meter time during the season. He completes his career with the 2nd Best Times Ever in the State in both the 1600 and 3200 Meter Runs.
