Dear Coach:
Here is the information for the 2025 Doddridge County High School "Season Opener Track Meet" to be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Cline Stansberry Stadium.
Time: We will be running the modified one session meet schedule. At 4:00pm we will start the Girls 3200m run as well as the Field events (Boys: Pole Vault, Long Jump, & Discus; Girls: High Jump & Shot Put). The Boys 3200m run will follow the Girls 3200m run. We will then run the Girls 400m dash and Boys 400m dash, followed by a 30-minute break before starting the rest of the running events.
Awards: Ribbons to all placers 1-8
Entry Fee: $20 per team ($40 total for boys and girls) Please mail checks to Doddridge County High School, Attention: Scott Robey, 79 Bulldog Drive, West Union, WV 26456.
Entry Deadline: Coaches need to have their entries entered on Athletic.net by noon on meet day. If you haven’t had a meet yet, please use reasonable estimates when entering your athletes. (Not past PR’s, but what is likely now.)
Entries: You may enter 3 individuals in each individual event and 2 relay teams in each relay event, though only one relay team from the same school can place and score in a relay event.
Scratches/Substitutions: Last minute scratches and substitutions will be accepted until 3:00pm at the meet.
Miscellaneous: Starting blocks will be provided. We will have 8 sets of blocks at each starting line. We hope that you will use our starting blocks, but if you bring your own, you will be responsible for transporting them from event to event. Also, please tell your athletes to NOT take our starting blocks from one start line to another. There are 8 at each start line. The longest spikes allowed on our track are ¼ inch. Participants in the throws and long jump will get 4 attempts. There will be no finals.
