Region 1 Teams: Cameron, Hundred, Madonna, Magnolia, Paden City, Parkersburg Catholic, Ritchie County, St. Marys, Tyler Consolidated, Valley, Wheeling Central, Williamstown, Wood County Christian
Coaches Meeting 3:30 Start Time: 4:00 Field, 4:30 Running (2 Session)
Field Events (4:00): First Session – Boys Pole Vault, Boys Discus, Girls Shot Put, Boys Long Jump, Girls High Jump
Meet Qualifiers: Throws and Jumps – Top 8 Plus ties to Finals
Sprints and Hurdles – Top 8 to Finals determined by place and time (1st in Heat and then
next best times)
State Meet Qualifiers: Top 3 individuals and relay teams from each region will qualify (Running, Shot, Disc, LJ)
Next 4 fastest times/distances from the regional results will qualify
Top 4 individuals in the High Jump and Pole Vault plus any additional athletes who
meet the State Qualifying Standard
Entries: The method of entries is by email utilizing Hy-Tek Team Manager program. You may download Team Manager Lite from www.hy-tekltd.com/track/ Click on Team Manager; Scroll down that page until you find Team Manager Lite; You will find a spot that says click here and you may download the program for free. This method not only saves the director time but also prevents data entry mistakes. The time or distance that the coach submits is what is listed for the athlete (please use accurate times/distances for all events). All you need is the event file, which you may get the file from the RunWV web site: www.runwv.com – please feel free to download this information and fill your entries by email. Be sure that ALL athletes are on your eligibility and synced to the roster before submitting entries; if an athlete is not on the current WVSSAC roster he/she will not be allowed to run. Please use information the WVSSAC identifies for your team. For Example: school name: St. Marys HS – team abbr: 0115 – short team name: St. Marys – Alt Abbr: SMHS. Please use the names of your athletes as they appear on your roster. Scratches: Please, e-mail your Scratch or Substitutions by 11:00 AM on the day of the meet to steven_nutter@hotmail.com and pat@tristateracer.com. Final scratches can be made by 3:00 at the meet.
Performance Lists will be in packet you receive at the meet
Admission: $7 Adult, $5 Student @ Gate into Stadium
ü Pole Vault Verification submitted at Event
ü Shot Put and Discus’s will be verified at Event
ü The Maximum spike length allowed is 3/16”. Spikes are not permitted in the bleacher or on the football field. PLEASE make athletes aware of this!!
ü Tape is not permitted on the track. Markers may be used for jumping events and relays. Only water inside the field area (No Sugary Drinks) PLEASE make athletes aware of this
ü Team Tents may be set up in the bleachers opposite the finishing line on the visitor’s side of the field
ü Hospitality room will be available in the commons area
ü T-Shirts will be sold on site
