We are sending this letter to invite you to our 46th Annual Dick Dei Track Classic. Our event is both men’s and women’s competition. The meet will be held on April 8, 2023. The facility is currently going through renovations, including a new track surface.
Along with full teams, individual entries and partial teams are welcome.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS AN INTIAL MAILING AND OUR MEET FILLS UP QUICKLY. IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MEET PLEASE MAKE A COMMITMENT BY FEBRUARY 15, 2023.

DATE: Saturday April 8, 2023
PLACE: Wheeling Park High School
TIME: Field events begin at 9:15 A.M.; Track events begin at 9:45 A.M.
ENTRY INFORMATION: Meet entry information will be sent in March 2023 to all schools that that commit to the meet. Only scratches will be accepted on meet day. NO REPLACEMENTS OR SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
EVENTS CONTESTED: Running events are as follows 100M Dash, 200M Dash, 400M Dash,
800M Run, 1600M Run, 3200M Run, 100/110M High Hurdles, 300M Low/Intermediate
Hurdles, 4x100M Relay, 4x200M Relay, 4x400M Relay, 4x800M Relay, Shuttle Hurdle
Relay. Field events are Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault.
A tentative schedule is included with this letter.
AWARDS:
(1) Plaques are awarded to the top eight (8) place winners in each individual event and each member of a relay team.
(2) The top four (4) team places receive a plaque.
(3) An OVERALL TEAM CHAMPION will be awarded, by combining the point totals of the men’s AND women’s team of each school.
(4) A High Point award will be awarded to highest Total point scoring individual for both the boys and girls divisions.
(5) Lastly, all first winners, in both individual and relay events will receive a Dick Dei Track Classic shirt that is printed at the event, sample is on last page of invite.
COST OF ENTRY: With the generosity of our corporate sponsor, we are able to keep the meet entry fee low at $400.00 per school ($200.00 for each team). Individual entries are $25 per person, per gender for up to 9 entrants. Entrants above 10 will be considered a team.
