                   Friday, May 7, 2021             Starting time:  4:00

 

2 Session Meet:   Teams currently attending:  Doddridge, Park. Catholic, Ravenswood, Ritchie, St. Marys, Tyler Consolidated, Williamstown, Wirt, Wahama, Calhoun, Gilmer, Buckhannon Upshur, Wood County Christian

 

 

Entry Fee:                             $75.00 for boys and girls teams of each school (combined) (payable to Ritchie County High School)

 

Entries:                                 Each team may enter 2 individuals per event and 1 relay team.  Entry fees should be mailed prior to the meet to the school.

 

Coaches are to use the Hy-Tek method of e-mailing their entrees.  The meet event file can be obtained from Run WV.  The entry deadline will be Wednesday, May 5th.

 

Awards:                                Team trophies for the 1st and 2nd  place teams.  High point

                                                awards for both boys and girls.  Medals for individual winners. Ribbons given to places two through six in each event, along with all places in the relay events.

 

Scratches:                            Please, e-mail your scratches by 11:00 AM on the day of the meet to Rhaught@k12.wv.us.  Text any last minute changes (after 1:30) to Coach Garrett at 618-841-1413.   A scratch meeting will be held up to 3:30 in the building located at the finish line to pickup team packets and make any final scratches.

Rules and Regulations

·         The maximum spike length allowed is 3/16" (Will be checked).  Spikes are not permitted in the bleachers.

·         Tape is not permitted on the track.  Markers may be used for jumping events and relays.

·         Use your own shot/discus and batons.  Standard blocks will be provided.

·         The pole vault weight verification form is to be turned in to the pole vault judge before warming up for the event.

·         Team tents may be set up in the bleachers opposite the finishing line.  Teams without a tent may remain on the press box side, but are asked to not sit at the finish line end of the bleachers.

Extras

·         If permitted, there will be a hospitality room provided for all coaches in the commons area of the school.
