Re: Class A Region I Track and Field Meet

This regional track meet will be held on Thursday May 9th at St. Marys High School. The meet will begin with a coaches meeting at 3:45pm. Scratches or replacements must be submitted to press box prior to the meeting. THERE IS NO ADDS ON DAY OF MEET ONLY SUBS/SCRATCHES. Coaches will be required to initial final placement of athletes before the meet begins.

 

Field Events will begin at 4:00pm First session of events will go as followed Girls Shot Put, Boys Discus, Girls High Jump, Boys Long Jump, and Boys Pole Vault.

Opening Heights:             Boys Pole Vault 7’6”        Boys High Jump 5’

                                           Girls Pole Vault 6’6”        Girls High Jump 4’2”

Pole Vaulters must have weight verification and get poles checked in prior to the start of the competition

ALL THROWING IMPLEMENTS WILL BE COMMON IMPLEMENTS EVERYONE CAN THROW EVERYTHING

Shot put and discus area is up on the hill at the end of the driveway.

Running Events will begin at 5:00pm: we will be following the order of a two session meet posted in the interscholastic on the WVSSAC website. Schedule will also be attached to this email.

 

Entries must be email utilizing the Hy-Tek team manager program. The file needed for entries will be attached to an email to coaches or you can find it on the WVSSAC site. You can find the team manager lite software needed at the following site http://www.hy-tekltd.com/downloads.html 

 Schools MUST use the school ID # as follows in Team Manager >Team Information for “Team Abbr:” and “Alternate Abbr:”:

ENTRIES MUST BE EMAIL USING TEAM MANAGER NO LATER THAN Monday May 6th

If you know you have changes prior to the meet you can email Missy/Glenda any time before noon on the day of the meet. Anything after noon you must complete in the press box prior to the coaches meeting at 3:30. However, remember that only changes, no adds will be accepted. SUBS/SCRATCHES ONLY!

*remember if you add an athlete to your eligibility with the WVSSAC the roster also needs to be updated. Please check with your AD that your current roster is on the WVSSAC website. If the athlete is not on the current WVSSAC roster he/she will not be allowed to run.

Please bring your own tennis balls for marking in the relay events. Tape cannot be used on the track.
