Individual Predictions

100 M	1. Sydney Banire	Spring Mills
	2. Allison Fields	Ripley
	3. Kelsea Anderson	Martinsburg
	4. Leonna Holmes	Martinsburg
	5. Amari Poole Wheeling Park
	6. Abby Snedeker	Wheeling Park
Banire has the top time in the field and had a great regional. She was also the runner-up
last year. Fields has the best overall series in the field. Anderson has closed the season
really well. Holmes beat Anderson in the Regional final. Poole has the 2nd best top time
in the field and has come on late in the season. Snedeker only has the 8th best top time
but is one of just 3 in the field with 5 runs under 13 seconds.

200 M	1. Mikah Alleyne	Woodrow Wilson
	2. Allison Fields	Ripley
	3. Kelsea Anderson	Martinsburg
	4. Trinity Blue	Jefferson
	5. Amari Poole Wheeling Park
	6. Abby Snedeker	Wheeling Park
Alleyne has the top time in the field and is the defending champion. Fields has the best
series in the group. Anderson has a top time that matches Fields and was runner-up last year.
Blue had a great regional. Poole also excelled at her Regional. Snedeker, like in the 100,
has been consistently fast, again being just 1 of 3 in the field with 5 runs under 27 seconds.

400 M	1. Mikah Alleyne	Woodrow Wilson
	2. Samara Nunn Parkersburg South
	3. Allison Fields	Ripley
	4. Madison Gray	Musselman
	5. Zara Zervos John Marshall
	6. Catherine Oliveto	Buckhannon-Upshur
Alleyne has the top time in the field and is the only one with mulitple runs under 59 seconds
(with 4) and was the State Record Breaking champion last year. Nunn has three runs under 60
seconds and the 2nd best top time. Fields has a pair of runs under 60 seconds. Gray had a
big step-forward performance at the regional with a 2+ second PR. Her top time is better than
Fields'. Zervos and Oliveto are very similar. Oliveto has a slightly better top time. Zervos
has a slightly better series. Oliveto won the regional matchup. Zervos was 4th last year.
I went with the experience and dropped Zervos in 5th and Oliveto in 6th.

800 M	1. Tori Starcher	Ripley
	2. Lea Hatcher Morgantown
	3. Caroline Kirby	University
	4. Zoe Shetty University
	5. Zara Zervos John Marshall
	6. Madison Gray	Musselman
Starcher is easily the favorite as the State Record holder and having the top time in the
field by almost 6 seconds. Hatcher has easily the 2nd best time in the field. Kirby has
3 runs better than anyone else's best. Shetty has a pair of 2:21 runs under her belt. Zervos
went 2:21 at the Regional and was 3rd in the event last year. Gray, like in the 400, took
a big step forward at the Regional. She'll also have the benefit of not having run the 1600
earlier.

1600 M	1. Tori Starcher	Ripley
	2. Lea Hatcher Morgantown
	3. Athena Young	Morgantown
	4. Zoe Shetty University
	5. Caroline Kirby	University
	6. Anya Miller Cabell Midland
Starcher is again the prohibitive favorite, having clocked a 4:36 equivalent at the Penn
Relays. That gives her a top time almost 19 seconds ahead of the field. Hatcher is the
only other one to have been under 5:00 with her 4:55 clocking. Young nearly got that mark
at the Morgantown Invitational with a 5:01. Shetty clocked a 5:03 at that same meet. Kirby
has 3 runs under 5:20. Miller has a better top time than Kirby.

3200 M	1. Tori Starcher	Ripley
	2. Zoe Shetty University
	3. Caroline Kirby	University
	4. Athena Young	Morgantown
	5. Emma Jenkins	Cabell Midland
	6. Allie Martin	Preston
Starcher is again well ahead of the field with a 10:20. Shetty turned in a 10:35 equivalent
at the Penn Relays. Kirby ran 11:00 at the Mountaineer Showcase with Young clocking an
11:10 at that event. Jenkins clicked off an 11:17 at the Gazette Relays. Martin hit an 11:23
at the Mountaineer Showcase. Those last 5 times were all run on the same day. 4/26 was a
great day to run. No one else has a top time within 25 seconds of this group.

100 HH	1. Mikah Alleyne	Woodrow Wilson
	2. Aubrey Wiethe	Wheeling Park
	3. Malia Sayavong	Hurricane
	4. Alex Knight Wheeling Park
	5. Della Moreland	Hampshire
	6. Lauren Colbert	Hedgesville
Alleyne is the clear favorite with a top time almost 0.7 seconds ahead of the field and four
runs under 15.50. Wiethe has easily the 2nd best time and is the only other one in the field
with multiple runs under 16 seconds. Sayavong has the only other sub-16 run in the field,
but that occurred in March, but she was also 3rd last year. Knight has a better series than
anyone else. Moreland has a slightly better top time than Knight and is just slightly behind
on the series. Colbert has a better top time than Knight or Moreland, but her two regional
runs are her only FAT runs under 17 seconds.

300 LH	1. Mikah Alleyne	Woodrow Wilson
	2. Aubrey Wiethe	Wheeling Park
	3. Tiarra Jackson	St. Albans
	4. Danielle Ray	Hurricane
	5. Marlee Porter	Wheeling Park
	6. Kennedi Lewellyn	Buckhannon-Upshur
Alleyne has the top time (barely) and another strong time, but she's only done the event
three times. However, as the 100HH favorite and 400M favorite, this should be a perfect
match...unless the 400 takes too much out of her. I think she'll hold up. Wiethe has a top
time just 0.02 off Alleyne's, and had the best Regional run in the field. She also has
the best overall series. Jackson has the 2nd best overall series and was the runner-up
last year. Ray has a pair of runs under 47 seconds and three under 48. Porter has the
3rd best top time in the field having gone under 46 seconds in the regional, but that was
her only run under 48 seconds. Lewellyn has four runs under 48 seconds, while no one else
left has done it once.

4x100 M	1. Jefferson
	2. Wheeling Park
	3. Hurricane
	4. Martinsburg
	5. Morgantown
	6. Spring Mills
I don't see a lot of movement to be made here. Jefferson has the top time in the field by
over half a second. Wheeling Park is the only other team to have gone under 50 seconds.
Hurricane just missed that mark at the MSAC. Martinsburg edges Morgantown for the 4th spot.
Spring Mills is one of just two remaining that have gone under 51.

4x200 M	1. Jefferson
	2. Wheeling Park
	3. Hurricane
	4. Spring Mills
	5. Hedgesville
	6. St. Albans
I gave Jefferson the nod on this. Wheeling Park has the best time in the field, but they
used Aubrey Wiethe that day, and I don't think they move her back on it. Hurricane ran a
time very close to Jefferson's all the way back in mid-April, so they're a threat to win it.
Spring Mills is the only other team to have been under 1:48. I moved St. Albans up to the
6th spot because they won their Regional with ease.

4x400 M	1. Morgantown
	2. Ripley
	3. Wheeling Park
	4. Buckhannon-Upshur
	5. Spring Mills
	6. Jefferson
I have Morgantown and Ripley both in the 4:03 range. This should be really fun. Wheeling
Park's Regional run was better than Ripley's. I'm guessing that Buckhannon-Upshur takes
Catherine Oliveto out of the long jump and adds her to this unit. That could be enough to
move them to contend for 3rd. I don't know if they'll do it or not, but I'm dropping them
into the 4th spot ahead of Spring Mills just in case. Jefferson rounds it out. I have 5 more
teams within 3 seconds of them, though.

4x800 M	1. Morgantown
	2. University
	3. Cabell Midland
	4. Preston
	5. Hurricane
	6. Musselman
Morgantown and University battled to a great finish at the OVAC Championships, finishing
just 0.37 apart with Morgantown taking the win in 9:37.00. It should be another great race,
and I have Morgantown coming out on top again. While no one else has been under 10:00 thus
far, that will change on Friday. I have Cabell Midland coming in at 9:44 and Preston adding
Allie Martin to the mix and dropping down into the lower 9:50s. I think Hurricane adds
Danielle Ray to their unit and clips down into the very low 10:00s. Musselman gets the nod
for the final spot over Martinsburg. They've both been faster than Preston or Hurricane,
but I don't think they have any more moves they can make. And just as an additional note,
Morgantown ran 9:33 last year, graduated their entire lineup, and might go faster this year.
How's that for depth?

Shuttle	1. Wheeling Park
	2. Hampshire
	3. Parkersburg
	4. St. Albans
	5. Huntington
	6. John Marshall
Wheeling Park has easily the top time in the field, clocking in nearly 2 seconds ahead of
the field. Hampshire has the next best time by almost a second. Parkersburg is the only
other team to have been under 1:08. St. Albans has the next best time by over a second.
Huntington only has the 7th best top time, but they've been consistently fast. John Marshall
has a pair of runs under 1:10.

H Jump	1. Nadia Legros	Hurricane
	2. Sona Magassouba	Capital
	3. Olivia Miller	Ripley
	4. Erin Williams	Parkersburg South
	5. Morganne Andrews	Martinsburg
	6. Madi Gersper	Parkersburg South
Legros has the only 5'6 clearances in the field, which she has done twice. She has at least
3 jumps of 5'4 to go with them. Magassouba has a pair of 5'4 jumps and beat Legros at the
Gazette Relays. Miller has a full series of 5'2 jumps. Williams has a 5'3 and three 5'2
jumps. Both jumped 5'2 at the Regional with Miller winning the tie-breaker, so I'll give her
the 3rd spot. Andrews has the only other 5'2 clearance in the field and has at least four
5'0 jumps to accompany it. Gersper has four 5'0 jumps, though none since 4/23. She's also
the beneficiary of an extra at-large high jump spot, something new this year. Since Region
III didn't have four qualifying jumpers, they took the next best jump, which was Gersper.

P Vault	1. Olivia Miller	Ripley
	2. Brady Browning	Wheeling Park
	3. Kennedi Lewellyn	Buckhannon-Upshur
	4. Eulalia Castan	Hedgesville
	5. Genna Chenoweth	Spring Mills
	6. Makenzi Lewellyn	Buckhannon-Upshur
Miller has the only 11'0 vault in the field and has a pair of 10'6 vaults to go with it.
Browning has a 10'7 vault and at least four 10'0 vaults. Lewellyn has a 10'0, a 9'6, and
a 9'3. Castan has a 10'0 and a 9'6. Chenoweth has a 9'6 and a 9'0. Lewellyn hasn't
cleared 9'6, but does have a full series of 9'0 vaults.

L Jump	1. Jillian Andrews	Jefferson
	2. Aaliyah Speights	Wheeling Park
	3. Sierra Lanham	University
	4. Lauren Colbert	Hedgesville
	5. Erin Williams	Parkersburg South
	6. Paige Murray-ShraderCabell Midland
Andrews has three jumps of at least 16'9. Speights has four jumps of at least 16'5 and is
one of two in the field with five 16'0 jumps. Lanham has the only 17' jump in the field
and it the other one with five 16'0 jumps. Colbert has three jumps of at least 16'0. Williams
has the 2nd best top jump in the field but just one other 16'0 jump. Murray-Shrader has
the next best top jump and just missed having a 2nd 16'0 jump. How much do I hate picking
the long jump? The top 2 placers from last year are in the field, and I didn't place either
one of them.

Shot	1. Cheyenne Nash	Wheeling Park
	2. Jada Brooks Spring Mills
	3. Abbey McKinney	South Charleston
	4. Madison Miller	Woodrow Wilson
	5. Ravyn Goodson	Huntington
	6. Shelby Metz Hurricane
Nash has the top throw in the field by a foot and has two throws over 37' and five of at
least 36'. Brooks has three throws of 36'. McKinney is the only other one with multiple
throws over 35'. Miller has a better top throw than McKinney, getting one over 36', but her
series is not a strong. Goodson only has the 7th best top throw, but she has the next best
series, and her top two throws have come in the last two meets. Metz has a 35' throw to her
credit, but only one other throw over 33'.

Discus	1. Madison miller	Woodrow Wilson
	2. Ravyn Goodson	Huntington
	3. Cameron Zuliani	Buckhannon-Upshur
	4. Jada Brooks Spring Mills
	5. Kylee Gao Morgantown
	6. Jayden Dooley	Morgantown
Miller has the top throw in the field by over 9' and has easily the best series. Goodson
has three throws over 110' and is the defending champion. Zuliani is one of just two with
five throws of at least 106'. Brooks has four over 106'. Gao has a better top throw than
Zuliani or Brooks but hasn't been quite as consistent. They had better regional performances
as well. Dooley has three throws over 104'.

3. Allison Fields	Ripley 24

5. Aubrey Wiethe	Wheeling Park 20.50
