GENERAL INFORMATION- *This meet will be ran with all grades combined this year into one group. This is a change from last years two groups 6th grade and a 7th and 8th grade.
The entry deadline will be Tuesday April 3, 2017. All entries should be e-mailed to Coach Hall at firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries are to be done using HyTek program and meet event files can be found on runwv.com. If you are not familiar with the HyTek program, you can simple email me a list of your entries via email no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday April 3, 2017.
We will be running the meet following the WVSSAC Middle School order of events for a One Session Meet. In the long jump, shot put and the discus events each entrant will be given four attempts. Starting heights will be determined at the meet for high jump and pole vault events.
Ribbons will be awarded to all six placers in all events. Plaques will be awarded to the winning and runner-up teams in each division, as well as high point scorers in each division.
Bring your own batons. Starting blocks will be provided, however, you may use your own blocks if they are equipped with appropriate spikes. Only pyramid style spikes with maximum length of 3/16 of an inch will be permitted on shoes and starting blocks. No needle or other style spikes! Please inform your runners and check all shoes and blocks for appropriate spikes.
General admission will be $5 per adult or student. Gates will open at 9 a.m. near the finish line and by the Shot Put area. Bus parking is available in the lot near the shot put area and in the adjoining city park. Buses will not be permitted to park in the lot adjacent to the school and teams should sit and erect tents in designated areas only.
