Bridgeport's McKenna Smith and South Harrison's Freddy Canary have been named the 2017 Ray McCoy Award Winners. The Ray McCoy Award is awarded by the WV Sportswriters Association to the top Track & Field/Cross Country athlete in the State. The award is open to High School and Collegiate athletes. Smith and Canary both had dominating seasons with Smith setting State All-Time Bests in the 100, 200, 400, and 300 LH and Canary set State Meet Records in the 100, 200, and 400.
