like to announce an “8th Grade
Spectacular” meet to be held at Liberty High School, Clarksburg WV on
Wednesday, May 2, 2018. This will be a competition between ONLY 8th grade athletes. Please contact

Participants: 8th grade ONLY
Time schedule:
WVSSAC Middle School Single Session meet, Coaches
meeting 4:15, Field events at 4:30, Running at 5. On a rolling schedule after we
begin, with a short break
after the 400M
Field Events:
All events will be held, but 3 attempts ONLY (may implement
minimum mark after first legal attempt if size warrants) for Shot Put,
Discus, and Long Jump NO FINALS.
NEW
Shot put Ring and Discus Cage located OUTSIDE Stadium.
1st rotation: Girls Shot,
High Jump, Boys Discus, Long Jump, Pole Vault
2nd rotation: Girls Discus,
Long Jump, Pole Vault, Boys Discus, High Jump
Starting Heights:
As needed – 6 inch increments for PV, 1 inch for HJ
Entry Procedures:
HyTek Team Manager for all team entries. (8th grade ONLY)
Unlimited entries for each team for all events
Entry Marks:
(Please enter a realistic performance mark.)
Participants: 8th grade ONLY
Entry Fee:
$50.00 per gender (team is 5 or more of one gender) (Boys & Girls $100.00)
$10 per athlete if under 5. Make Check Payable to: Liberty High

Timing:
Automatic timing will be used (Finish Lynx)
Team Camp Area:
Teams can set up on opposite side of press box
Team Bus/drop off:
Busses should drop off teams on the outside of the Main Gate and will be
directed where to park
Spikes:
¼ pyramid only, strictly enforced on all rubber surfaces
Scoring:
Based on number of teams, hopefully Top 6: 10-8-6-4-2-1 (top 3 from each team
only can score for individual points), NO TEAM SCORING/AWARDS. Relays members
will be given ¼ of points earned per team for individual award point total.
Awards: Awards for top 3
event placers. NO TEAM AWARDS. We
will award 1st and 2nd place INDIVIDUAL High Point (Beast of
the Meet) for boys and girls.

break

Admission Fee:
Coaches/Participants and Media/WVSSAC passes ONLY are free admission, $5.00 for
Adults/Kids Kindergarten and up
