Jocelyn Johnson (Huntington Middle/Huntington, WV) qualified in both the Midget (11-12) Girls Aero Javelin placing third with a new personal best of 12.48m, an improvement of almost 3 meters from her previous best, and Shot Put where she finished 5th with a new personal best of 6.36 meters. Also qualifying in two event's was Gus Lambert (Spring Hill Elementary/Huntington, WV), who placed 4th in the Bantam (9-10) Boys Mini-Javelin with a mark of 8.49 meters, and 5th in the Shot Put with a mark of 4.56 meters. This marks the first time qualifying for Nationals for both Jocelyn and Gus.

Also recording top-8 finishes and scoring in the Region were Stephen Jones (Spring Hill Elementary/Huntington, WV) who finished 7th in the Midget Boys Long Jump, and Ayrazzelia Meade (Cabell-Midland/Huntington, WV) who placed 7th in both the Youth (13-14) Girls Discus and Shot Put.
