Dear Coach:

This is your information letter on the 2017 Cline Stansberry Invitational Track Meet to be held on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Cline Stansberry Stadium in West Union, WV.  This will be the 36th annual Cline Stansberry Invitational.

Time:  Field events (Boys:  Pole Vault, Long Jump, & Discus; Girls:  High Jump & Shot Put) will begin at 4:00pm. We hope to start running events around 4:30pm.  We will follow the WVSSAC format for a two-session meet.

Awards:  Trophies will be given to the top 3 teams and to the top individual in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.  Also, winners of each event will receive medals.  Ribbons will be awarded to placers 2 – 6 in all events.

Entry Fee:  $50 per team ($100 total for boys and girls).  Make checks payable to DCHS Athletics.

Entry Deadline:  Hy-Tek entries need to be e-mailed to runwv@runwv.com by Monday, April 17, 2017.  The event file that is needed will be posted on www.runwv.com.  If you are unfamiliar with Hy-Tek you can find help at www.bridgeporttrack.com.

Entries:  Teams will be permitted to enter 3 individuals per individual event and 1 relay team per relay event.  This is if we have 12 teams or less.  If we go over that, we will have to limit teams to 2 individuals per individual event.  Please let us know ASAP if you plan to come so we can make the appropriate decision on entries for the meet.  If we decide to limit teams to 2 per event we will post an announcement on RunWV.

Scratches:  Please FAX your scratches and replacements before noon on meet day (304-873-1873) or e-mail to runwv@runwv.com. Last minute scratches and replacements will also be accepted until 3:30pm at the meet; however, it would be greatly appreciated if you make every effort to get this information to us no later than noon.

Miscellaneous:  The concession stand will be open.  Starting blocks will be provided.  The longest spikes allowed on our track are ¼ inch.  Participants in the throws and long jump will get 3 attempts in the trials with the top 7 advancing to the finals for 3 more attempts.  We will have a meal for coaches between the 400m dash and 4x800m relay.
