Class AA Boys Individual Event Predictions

100 M	1. Donavan Spencer	Weir
	2. Carlos Reed Bluefield
	3. Adam Cutlip Lewis
	4. Trenton Pongsugree	Winfield
	5. Latrell Collier	Bluefield
	6. Aaron Banks Mingo Central
Spencer has the top time in the field by nearly 0.2 seconds. He's the only one with
multiple runs under 11 seconds, and he has 4. He's also the defending champion. Reed
won the event as a Freshman and Sophomore before getting knocked off by Spencer last
year. Cutlip is the only one other than Spencer to have gone under 11 seconds.
Ponsugree has the next best top time and the next best series. Collier has the next
best top time and was 4th last year. Banks has a better series than Collier. 7
in the field have been 11.20 or better.

200 M	1. Donovan Spencer	Weir
	2. Adam Cutlip Lewis
	3. Hayden O'Dell	Winfield
	4. Trenton Pongsugree	Winfield
	5. Trevor Armes	Clay
	6. Maverick Eddy	Bridgeport
Spencer has the top time in the field by 0.5 seconds. His 5th best time is better
than anyone else's best. He's the defending champion here as well. Cutlip has the
next best top time and the next best series with 5 runs under 23 seconds. O'Dell
is the only other one with a pair of runs under 23 seconds, and they've come in his
last two meets. Pongsugree has the next best top time. Armes has a better series
than Pongsugree but is 0.26 behind on top time. Eddy has the next best top time and
series. Only the top five have been under 23 seconds. 8 have been under 23.40.

400 M	1. Trevor Armes	Clay
	2. Hayden O'Dell	Winfield
	3. Steven Shetler	Berkeley Springs
	4. Michael Gaskill	East Fairmont
	5. Khori Miles Robert C. Byrd
	6. Derek Waugh Nitro
Armes has the only sub-50 runs in the field, and he has two of them. He's also the
defending champion. O'Dell has the next best top time and series with four runs
under 51.30. Shetler is the only other one to have been under 51 seconds, and he
has four runs under 52 seconds. Gaskill has the next best top time and the next best
series. Miles is the only other one to have been under 52 seconds. Waugh has the
next best top time and a pair of runs under 53 seconds. 9 in the field have been
under 52.7 seconds, and they've all been under 53.7.

800 M	1. Steven Shetler	Berkeley Springs
	2. Jackson Reed	Nicholas
	3. Brady Price Berkeley Springs
	4. Aaron Withrow	Winfield
	5. Matt Chapman	Berkeley Springs
	6. Jimmy Lacaria	Bridgeport
Shetler has the only sub-2:00 clockings in the field, and he's done it three times.
Reed has one run under 2:01 and is the defending champion in this event. Price ha
a pair of runs under 2:01 and is the only one in the field with 5 runs under 2:02.
Withrow has a pair of runs under 2:03. Chapman has the next best time and a pair of
runs under 2:04. Lacaria is one of just 3 in the field to have four runs under
2:04. Reed, Withrow, Chapman, and Lacaria will have duked it out in the 1600 earlier.
We'll see if they have the ability to come back and do it again. 7 have gone under
2:04. 9 have gone under 2:05.

1600 M	1. Aaron Withrow	Winfield
	2. Matt Chapman	Berkeley Springs
	3. Jimmy Lacaria	Bridgeport
	4. Jackson Reed	Nicholas
	5. Mark Duez Bridgeport
	6. Luke Lumadue	Winfield
This one is really tough, as I could potentially see any of the front four winning
it. Withrow has the only 4:25 in the field, and he's accomplished it 3 times. Chapman
has three that are 4:28 or better. Lacaria has a pair of runs under 4:28. Reed is
the wildcard. He's only gone 4:35, and that was in March, but he's not been pushed
this year. He ran 4:23.90 in this event last year, but he had ran several under 4:35
at this point. I have no idea what kind of shape he's in. Duez is the only other
one to have gone under 4:35. Lumadue is the only other one to have been under 4:40,
which he's done twice. The top 6 are the only ones under 4:40. 8 have been under
4:45.

3200 M	1. Aaron Withrow	Winfield
	2. Jimmy Lacaria	Bridgeport
	3. Jackson Reed	Nicholas
	4. Mark Duez Bridgeport
	5. Mark Ellis East Fairmont
	6. Danah Phillips	Robert C. Byrd
Withrow has the top time in the field and is the only one to have been under 9:40
twice. Lacaria was just 3 seconds off him at the Gazette Relays. Reed is again
the wildcard. His 9:53 at the Regional left him behind Lacaria and Duez, and that's
his only run under 10:06. But again, he hasn't been pushed. But again, last year
he had four runs of 9:56 or better at this point and went on to run 9:31 and dominate
the event. Duez has three runs under 10:00. Ellis has one sub-10:00 clocking and
the next best series. Phillips went under 10:00 at the Regional, finishing right
on the heels of Reed. He's only gone under 10:20 twice though. The top 6 have all
gone under 10:00. Only two others have been under 10:20.

110 HH	1. Deavonte Johnson	Keyser
	2. Tristenn Cochran	Grafton
	3. Austin Lee Lewis
	4. Khori Miles Robert C. Byrd
	5. Keyshawn Faulks	Weir
	6. Haden Coon Roane
Johnson has the best time in the field by over 0.4 seconds and is the only one to
go under 15 more than once, and he's been under 14.90 five times. Lee has the next
best time and series. Miles has the next best time and series. He'll be the only
one inthe field that will have already endured the 400 and the 300 IH. How much will
be left in the tank? Faulks is the only other one with multiple runs under 16, and
he has 3 of them. Coon has the next best time and series. 7 in the field have gone
under 16 seconds. 11 have been 16.33 or better.

300 IH	1. Deovanta Johnson	Keyser
	2. Tristenn Cochran	Grafton
	3. Michael Gaskill	East Fairmont
	4. Khori Miles Robert C. Byrd
	5. Andrew Slusser	East Fairmont
	6. Keyshawn Faulks	Weir
Johnson has the only run under 40 seconds, and he's done it twice. He has five
runs under 40.30. Cochran has five runs under 40.60. Gakill has the next best top
time. Miles has been under 41 three times and under 41.40 five times. He and Gaskill
will have run the 400 that morning. Slusser has five runs under 42 seconds and the
next best time. Faulks has the next best time and series with four runs under 42
seconds. 9 in the field have been under 42 seconds.

4x100 M	1. Bluefield
	2. Winfield
	3. Keyser
	4. Bridgeport
	5. Nicholas
	6. Nitro
Bluefield doesn't have the best time or series, but I think they're dangerous enough
that if they pass it well, they win it. Winfield has the top time in the field and
the best series. Keyser has been stepping forward late in the season and is the
last of the field to have been under 45 seconds. Bridgeport has the next best time
and series. Nicholas has the next best series. Nitro has been faster, but just by
0.02 and not as consistently. 7 have been under 45.70.

4x200 M	1. Bluefield
	2. Winfield
	3. Bridgeport
	4. Keyser
	5. Weir
	6. Oak Glen
Much like the 4x100, Bluefield doesn't have the top time. They do actually have
the best series in this one. Again, if they pass it well, they can win it. Winfield
has the top time in the field.	Bridgeport has the next best time and series. Kesyer
is the only other team to have been under 1:34. Weir and Oak Glen are the only other
two to have been under 1:35. 8 have been under 1:36.

4x400 M	1. Keyser
	2. Berkeley Springs
	3. Oak Glen
	4. East Fairmont
	5. Winfield
	6. Bridgeport
Keyser has the top time in the field by over 4 seconds. I don't know if they can
go faster or not, but I don't think they have to. Then we get into massive mess
territory as I have 9 teams separated by 3 seconds. Berkeley Springs gets the nod
for 2nd, but the open 800 could take a toll on them. Oak Glen ran 3:36 without their
top 400 guy. I think he joins the group, and they move up to 3rd. East Fairmont
gets the 4th slot. If they were to move Gaskill onto this lineup and drop either
the 400 or the 300 IH, they could contend for the win. I don't know if they'll do
it or not. I'm going with leaving him in the opens as my guess. Winfield is right
there as well. Bridgeport has only been 3:39, but I see a lineup that can run at
least 3:34.

4x800 M	1. Berkeley Springs
	2. Bridgeport
	3. Winfield
	4. East Fairmont
	5. Weir
	6. Fairmont Senior
It kind of seems like we have 3 races here. One for 1st, one for 3rd, and a big one
for 6th. With 3 of the top 800 guys, Berkeley Springs is in the driver's seat. They
could get down in the 8:08 range. I think Bridgeport might be able to go under 8:15.
Winfield could be in that range as well if they put Withrow on it. I don't think
they will, but I think they have enough to battle with East Fairmont for 3rd without
him. Those two appear clear of the rest of the field. Weir looks fairly solid in
the 3rd spot, though with an 8:36, it shouldn't be. There's probably somebody hiding
out there that can surprise. I have Fairmont Senior with the final spot, but I have
three other teams within 4 seconds of them.

Shuttle	1. Roane
	2. East Fairmont
	3. Bridgeport
	4. Nicholas
	5. Lewis
	6. Fairmont Senior
Roane is the only one to have gone under 1:00 more than once, and they've done it
four times. East Fairmont has the 2nd best time. Bridgeport has a better series
than East Fairmont, but their Regional Run was nearly a second slower. Nicholas is
the only other team to have been under 1:00. Lewis has been under 61 seconds twice.
Fairmont Senior has the next best time and series with 3 runs under 62.

H Jump	1. Luke Nichols	Nitro
	2. Austin McGinnis	Roane
	3. Cody Southerly	Petersburg
	4. Forrest Funkhouser	North Marion
	5. Evan Frankenberry	Lincoln
	6. Tristan Shaw	Bridgeport
Nichols has a pair of 6'8 jumps to his credit and four of at least 6'6. No one else
has more than one 6'4 jump. McGinnis has a 6'4, a 6'3, and the 6'2 jumps, including
at the Regional. Southerly has a 6'4 jump and a pair of 6'0 jumps, but he hasn't
cleared 6'0 in May. Funkhouser has a 6'0 jump and a pair of 5'10 jumps. Frankenberry
has a 6'0 jump and a 5'10 jump. Shaw is one of just 3 to jump 5'10 at the Regional
meets. 8 have jumped 5'10.

P Vault	1. Haden Coon Roane
	2. Joshua Osborn	Bridgeport
	3. Kurtis Moore	Winfield
	4. Jacob Durgin	Winfield
	5. Bryant Dixon	Keyser
	6. Zach Hoskinson	Robert C. Byrd
Coone has the only 14'6 and the only 14'0 vaults in the field. He has at least five
vaults of 13'0. Osborn is the only other vaulter to have cleared 13'6. No one else
has been higher than 12'0. Moore has a pair of 12'0 vaults. Durgin has a pair of
11'6 vaults. Dixon have an 11'6 vault and at least five of 11'0 or more. Hoskinson
has an 11'6 vault at at least four of 10'6 or better. 7 in the field have cleared
11'0. 10 have cleared 10'6.

L Jump	1. Aaron Banks Mingo Central
	2. Michael Gaskill	East Fairmont
	3. Marcus Guy Independence
	4. Austin McGinnis	Roane
	5. Khori Miles Robert C. Byrd
	6. John Smith Fairmont Senior
Bank has four jumps of at least 21'0 and the top jump in the field at 21'8.50. Gaskill
has a pair of jumps over 21'0 and three of at least 20'11. Guy has the 2nd best top
jump in the field and five jumps of at least 20'3. McGinnis has the next best jump
and series. Miles is one of just four with multiple 20'0 jumps. Smith has five jumps
of at least 19'9.

Shot	1. Chase Dotson	Poca
	2. Luke Bonnett	Braxton
	3. Christopher Trent	Bridgeport
	4. Caleb Hartley	Poca
	5. Clifford Ellis	Lincoln
	6. Isaac Rosohac	Oak Glen
Dotson has the top throw in the field by over 3'0. He has five throws over 50'0,
3 of which were over 52'0. Bonnett only has the 3rd best top throw, but joins Dotson
in having five throws of at least 50'0. Trent has the 2nd best top throw and a pair
of 50'0 throws in total, but then it drops to 47'7. Hartley has three over 47'0.
Ellis has four throws of 45'8 or better. Rosohac has the last remaining throw over
46'0 and has a pair over 45'0. 5 in the field have thrown 48'0. 10 have thrown
45'0.

Discus	1. Chase Dotson	Poca
	2. Caleb Hartley	Poca
	3. Clifford Ellis	Lincoln
	4. Christopher Trent Bridgeport
	5. Jesse Gleason	Point Pleasant
	6. Kellen Tropeck	Oak Glen
I had been all set to pick Hartley until Dotson blew out the Regional with a 176'7
toss. That gives him the top throw in the field by over 18'0. He had five throws
of at least 150'0. Hartley also has four throws of at leat 150'0. He had beaten
Dotson three straight times before Dotson exploded in the Regional. Ellis has the
next best throw and series. Trent is the only other one with a pair of 140'0 throws.
Gleaston hsa the next best top throw. Tropeck has more throws over 138'0 than anyone
but the top two. 7 in the field have thrown 140. 9 have thrown at least 136'0.
