Dear Administrators and Coaches,

Due to predicted cold temperatures on Tuesday, April 5th, we have decided to move the scheduled home high school track meet to Wednesday, April 6th.  We had a middle school meet scheduled for this day so we are going to merge the two meets together.  The high school meet will only involve Preston and University while the middle school meet will include teams from Bruceton, Central Preston, East Preston, Southern Garrett (MD), and South Preston.  High school and middle school teams from Union (Grant) may also attend.  

The meet will only involve individual running and field events (no relays).  Schools will be able to run unlimited individuals in each event, but only the top three individuals per school will score.  Due to the absence of the shuttle hurdle relay, middle school boys will run 30” hurdles in the 75 hurdles.  High school athletes can be entered in a maximum of four events.  Middle school athletes can also be entered in a maximum of four events, but only three of them can be running events.  The meet referee / starter will be Mike Argabrite.        

We will be using Hy-Tek Meet Manager exclusively for our meets this year. The event file is attached to this email.  Please use this file unless you have already entered your athletes using the original file that was posted to www.runwv.com.  If you are unfamiliar with Hy-Tek Team Manager Lite, there is a great tutorial posted at this link:  http://www.runwv.com/TF16/news/hytek1231.html .

The deadlines for the meet on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 are as follows:

1. All entries are to be emailed to prestonrun@gmail.com by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5th.

2. Any additions must be emailed to the address above by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meet.

3. Scratches can be made on site, but additions will not be accepted.

We will have first call for field events at 4:00 p.m. The field event rotation will be as follows:

Concessions will be available by the Preston High Track Parents. Admission is $5.00 per person.  There is not an entry fee for teams and there will not be any awards.
