Capital's Tristan Slater set a new WV All-Time Pole Vault mark at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in Edmonton Alberta Canada on July 31st with a vault of 5.20 Meters, which converts to 17'0.72 inches...just shy of 17'0 3/4.

This was one of our older All-Time marks with the previous mark being set at the 1995 State Track Meet by Parkersburg's Casey Freed.
