Regional Track Meet
The Region
IV A Class Track Meet will be held at Parkersburg High
School Complex Friday, May 15th.
1. Coaches meeting at 4:15 (ALL
SCRATCHES MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THIS MEETING) 5 PM FIELD 6 PM RUNNING MEAL AT BREAK. Order of field events Girls
Shot, High Jump Boys
Discus, Long Jump, Pole vault. Remember your weight verification form.

THE EVENT OFFICIAL AND YOU MAY MOVE UP IN ORDER. THEY HAVE 5 MINUTES TO RETURN AFTER THEIR
HEAT. IF ALL REMAINING ATHLETES HAVE
CLEARED OR PAST THE BAR WILL BE RAISED, if the athlete is gone more than
fifteen minutes.

8. Entries must be made using Hy-Tek Team Manager. The event files are on the WVSSAC site
or RunWV. Email to whscoachhall@gmail.com, Wed. May 13 6:00 PM.
9. Please use
the WVSSAC identifiers ie school name Lewis County
HS- team abbr.: 0065- short name: Lewis County. Also the letters for grade
level FR, Soph, Jr, Sr are
preferred over the numbers 9, 10, 11, 12. Enter athletes with their name as it
appears on your roster.

Implements
will be weighed before throwing.

Heat
winners and the next four fastest times will advance to the finals, if two heat
top two.
12.
Performances
maybe challenged at the coaches meeting please have verification available.
13.
Admission
is adults- $6 students- $5 as set by the WVSSAC
14.
Remember
the top three places in the running events, shot, discus and long jump ; and the next four best performances from the regionals
will advance to the state meet. In the
vertical jumps the top four places will advance, plus athletes that meet the
qualifying standard. If there is a tie involving fourth place and the
qualifying standard has not been met the tie breaking procedure for first will
be used.
