Re: AAA Regional Track Meet
The Region II Class AAA Track Meet will
be held at Spring Mills High School on Thursday, May 14th. The meet
will begin with a coaches meeting at
11:15 AM. Scratches must be submitted to the press box prior to this time.
Field
events will begin at 12:00 PM. First Session: Boys Discus, Girls Shot
Put, Boys Long Jump, Girls High Jump and Boys Pole Vault.
Running
events will begin at 12:15 PM with the order of events for a
two-session meet as listed in the February issue of the Interscholastic
The preferred method of entries is by
email utilizing Hy-Tek Team Manager program. You may download Team Manager Lite from www.hy-tekltd.com/track/ Click on Team Manager; Scroll down that page
until you find Team Manager Lite; you will find a spot that says click here and
you may download the program for free.
This method not only saves the director time but also prevents data
entry mistakes. The time or distance that the coach submits is what is listed
for the athlete. The event file may be downloaded from the WVSSAC website: www.wvssac.org. Instructions
are in your 2015 WVSSAC rules packet. Please use the WVSSAC identifiers for
your team. For Example: school name -
Lewis County HS – team abbr: 0065 – short team name –
Lewis County. Please use the names of your athletes as they appear on your roster. If you have questions, you may contact me at

All
entries are due to the director by no later than 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12th.
Remember, if you add an athlete to the
eligibility with the WVSSAC, your roster must be updated as well. An updated
copy of your roster must accompany your entry form.
If
a question arises during the scratch meeting regarding an entry time for an
athlete or relay, please have appropriate documentation to support your entry
time. If you do not have documentation, the meet director has the option to
change the time based on the evidence presented on meet day.
If you know that you have changes you
would like to make after you send the entries, please email them by 1:00 PM,
Wednesday, May 13th. Included with this mailing is a copy of the
scratch sheet. Changes may be made on meet day, prior to the coaches meeting.
Parking will be located in the north lot
adjacent to the stadium. Attendants will be on site to assist with parking.
Gates will open at 11:00 AM for
spectators. Seating for spectators and teams will be on the press box side.
Admission-Adults-$6.00—Students-$5.00
as
established by the WVSSAC. Only WVSSAC passes accompanied with identification
will be accepted at the pass gate.
Concessions
and Region II Championship t-shirts will be available throughout the meet.
Tennis
balls will be provided for relays. Chalk will be provided for PV, HJ and LJ.
TAPE
IS NOT PERMITTED.
Batons
will be furnished for relays.
