Three West Virginia Athletes were on the start lists for the New Balance Indoor National at The Armory in New York this weekend. Morgantown's Anthony Laurita was to compete in the Emerging Elite 2 Mile. Roane's Troy Fisher was to compete in the Emerging Elite 400 Meter Dash. Capital's Tristan Slater was to compete in the Championship Pole Vault.
First, on Friday, Anthony Laurita took home 7th place in the 2 Mile and served notice that he may be the man to beat in the 3200, turning in a time of 9:27.16.
Troy Fisher was also to run on Friday, but he doesn't show in the results listing.
Tristan Slater competed on Saturday in the Pole Vault Championship and brought home a 9th place finish with a vault of 15'4.25.
