to the 2015 Little Kanawha Conference Championship Track Meet. We at
1) Teams in today’s meet: Braxton County, Calhoun County, Clay County, Doddridge County, Gilmer County, Parkersburg Catholic, Ravenswood, Ritchie County, Roane County, South Harrison, St. Marys, Tyler Consolidated, Webster County, Williamstown, and Wirt County.
2) Included in your packet is a printout, which shows the athletes that were entered in each event for your team. Please make sure that we have the proper athletes entered in the correct events. If something is wrong, let us know at the “castle” near the finish line. If your relay teams are correct on your printout, you do not need to use relay cards, however, if you change a relay from what you originally entered, or didn’t specify relay team members with your entries, you must use a relay card.
3) The starters for today’s meet are Ryan Haught and Bud Sellers. Mr. Haught will also serve as the referee. There will be a coaches' meeting with him at the "castle" at 3:30 pm.
4) The jury of appeals will be made up of the following people: Craig Kellar, Steven Nutter, Rick Haught, Glenda Cottrill, and Doak Markley. If you have a question, bring it to their attention.
5) There are medals for all first, second, & third place finishers in this meet, including relays. There are also ribbons for placers 4-6. Two team trophies (2nd & 3rd place) will be awarded at the conclusion of the meet, along with a high point trophy in each division. All-conference (top 14 & meet records) will be announced at the conclusion of the meet. They, along with the championship teams, will get their awards at the LKC Banquet.
6) At the conclusion of the meet coaches should pick up their ribbons & medals in the press box. Meet results will be available in the castle at the conclusion of the meet, as well. Event results will be posted at the top of the bleachers during the meet.
7) VERY IMPORTANT: Please turn in all event changes to the press box by 3:30pm, earlier if at all possible. Better still; fax your changes to 866-491-9334 by noon on Friday.
8) Field events will start promptly at 4:00pm. Running events will start at 5:00pm.
9) Participants in the shot put, discus, and long jump will be permitted 3 trials. The
“top 7” will advance to the finals.
10) We will be following the WVSSAC schedule for a two-session meet. There will be a 30-minute break between the boys’ 400m dash and the girls’ 4x800m relay.
11) There will be a meal during the break at the band concession stand (beside the visitor's bleachers) for coaches and meet workers!
