Middle School Track and Field Coaches:
Thank you for choosing to attend the 2nd Annual Winfield MS Classic on Saturday, April 5th at Winfield High School. We currently have 8 schools attending, but will accept an additional 2 if anyone is looking for a meet to complete their schedule.
Schedule: We will follow the order of events for middle school competition as set forth in the 2014 Interscholastic. This will be on a rolling schedule under a “one session” format. Field events will start at approximately 11:30 AM, with running events beginning at approximately noon. All times are final. There will be 4 throws per athlete in the shot and discus, as well as 4 jumps per athlete in the long jump.
Awards: Boys and Girls Team Trophies for 1st and 2nd place
Ribbons for 1st through 6th places in each event
High Point Award for both boys and girls competition
Entries: Each team may enter 2 athletes per event. Please follow the 4 events total/no more than 3 running events restriction for each athlete. You may substitute, but not add. Please submit all entries via Hy-Tek. Events file will be posted on www.runwv.com or emailed at your request. Send entry file to Coach Fisher at chadwyck317@yahoo.com.
Scratches: Please submit scratches by 11:00 AM or earlier the day of the meet.
Deadline: Hy-Tek submissions are due NO LATER THAN 9:00 PM on Thursday, April 3rd. Submissions WILL NOT be accepted the day of the meet.
Entry Fee: Make checks payable to Winfield Middle School and bring with you to the scratch meeting at 11:00 AM the day of the meet.
$40 per Varsity Team
$75 per School (Boys and Girls Varsity teams)
$15 per each additional JV team (B and/or C teams)
