Hurricane Middle School Invitational

This will be the first high school meet at our brand new facility.  Some of the features of our renovated track and field complex include:

·        New 8-lane latex track

·        FAT Timing (FinishLynx)

·        New Long Jump Pit

·        New High Jump Area

·        New Shot Put area (with 2 rings)

·        New Discus Area

·        New Sound System

 

Hurricane High School has made an all out effort to create one of the best track and field venues in the state.  All indications are showing that this new track is very fast and runner friendly.

 

Times: Field Events – 4:30, Running – 5:00

It is preferred that all scratches are emailed to srooper@access.k12.wv.us before 2:30; however, scratches may be turned in at the meet before 4:15.  

No substitutions after this time.

 

Meals will be provided for coaches with a WVSSAC Coaching Card.

 

Awards: Plaques for 1st and 2nd Place teams, as well as High Point

                 Ribbons for places 1st – 6th.

 

Entries: One Team ONLY.  Teams are permitted to enter three athletes per event.  However, we will be having an exhibition race in the 65m Hurdles, the 100m, and the 800m.  If you would like to enter your athlete in one of these events, please email those names to the address at the bottom of the page.  These events are for athletes who are not already entered into an event.  

 

Entry Fee: $40.00 per team or $70.00 per school. 

Checks Payable to Hurricane High School.  

 

Entry Deadline: April 4th

 

All entries must be submitted by email through Team Manager Lite.  The program may be downloaded at http://www.midlandrunning.com/HyTek/index.htm.  The event file will be available on Runwv.com.  When naming your team in Team Manager Lite, use your WVSSAC school code as team code.
