Check-In
Procedure
We will not make calls for
running events and follow a published time schedule. We WILL
NOT get ahead of this schedule. We
feel this will make it more pleasant for spectators and allow coaches to
accurately plan their athletes’ warm-up without the guesswork of a rolling
schedule. In order for this to run
smoothly, we will need your help to make sure your athletes know how to check
in for their events.
·
The official time
of day will be on the scoreboard clock throughout the meet.
·
20 minutes from
the scheduled start of their race, each athlete needs to report to the bib
number tent located beside the bleachers near the long jump pit. Athletes may pick up their hib numbers as
early as they want, but they MUST pick it up at least 20 min prior. Failure to do so could result in your athlete
not getting to run their race.
·
No later than 10
minutes from the scheduled start of their race, each athlete must report to the
clerk at the start of their event to check in.
If they are not there by then they will be scratched.
·
We will make
calls for all field events due to the various time differences in how long each
take to complete.
·
For athletes who
are in field events and need to leave to for a running event, must pick up
their hip numbers prior to their field event.
They must check in at the start of their running event 10 minutes before
the start like everyone else. At the
completion of the running event, they must report back to their field event
within 10 minutes.
