Local Youth triple and double on Gold Medals at Southern AAU Indoor Championships

Noah Castro of Teays Valley was once more the star of the day winning gold medals in the 9 year old boys 400m in 1:13.60, the 800m in 2:39.60 and the 1500m yesterday in 5:30.89.

Also winning two gold medals were Nate Barham of South Charleston in the 9 year old boys 55m in 8.47 sec. & 200m in 31.66.

Sam Thomas of Charleston was a double winner in the 13 year old boys 3000M in 10:27.50 the 1500M in 5:02.51, Thomas was also 4^th in the 800 in 2:33.0.

Other Capital City Strider good National performances include:

Ramone Garnett of Charleston was second the 13 boys Shot Put at 34’5” and teammate Trevor Barnes of Hurricane finished 7^th throwing 28’.

Barkley Castro in 15-16 girls medaled at 5^th in the 400m in 67.24 seconds and 8^th in the 800m in 2:45.63.

Xavier Crosby, Charleston 17-18 boys Shot Put 3^rd 39’1”

Cody Sheppard 7^th in the 15/16 boys 55m Hurdles 10.11 sec
