100 M 1. Candace Brown Summers
2. Alexis Burch Oak Glen
3. Madison Cunningham Lincoln
4. Hayle Martin Oak Hill
5. Samara Kendrick Liberty Harrison
6. Rheanna Foley Tyler Consolidated
Brown is the defending champion and the clear favorite. Only 2 have been under 13.
200 M 1. Candace Brown Summers
2. Madison Cunningham Lincoln
3. Adrian Cunningham Poca
4. Rheanna Foley Tyler Consolidated
5. Lindsey Thompson Shady Spring
6. Sharia Hernandez Keyser
Brown is the only one with multiple runs under 27. Only 2 have been under 27. Only
3 have been under 27.50.
400 M 1. Madison Cunningham Lincoln
2. Shannon Rutherford Wayne
3. Alexis Burch Oak Glen
4. Katie Jan Frankfort
5. Rheanna Foley Tyler Consolidated
6. Sarah Boddy Keyser
Cunningham and Rutherford have been under 60. Cunningham and Burch were 2nd and 3rd in the event
last year, with both going under 60. Jan placed last year. 5 have been under 62.
800 M 1. Shannon Rutherford Wayne
2. Katie Jan Frankfort
3. Andrea Porter Point Pleasant
4. Sarah Cline Weir
5. Sarah McCauley Philip Barbour
6. Tricia Marker Weir
Rutherford is over 4 seconds ahead of everyone else. Jan, however, ran a 2:19 in getting 2nd
last year and must be considered a threat. Only 3 have been under 2:30. McCauley is still getting
back into form from a stress fracture.
1600 M 1. Sarah McCauley Philip Barbour
2. Katie Jan Frankfort
3. Andrea Porter Point Pleasant
4. Erica Walker Herbert Hoover
5. Tricia Marker Weir
6. Alexis Virtue Weir
The top five have season best times that ae within 3 seconds of each other. McCauley ran 5:09 last
year but is coming off injury. 2 have been under 5:30. 5 have been under 5:32. 7 have been under
5:35. 11 have been under 5:40. There are a lot of spots up for grabs.
3200 M 1. Sarah McCauley Philip Barbour
2. Katelyn Mahoney Philip Barbour
3. Erica Walker Herbert Hoover
4. Brianna Waybright Philip Barbour
5. Tricia Marker Weir
6. Kristen Mastrantoni Weir
There are 6 that have been under 12:00. Three have been under 11:45. 7 have been under 12:08. I
feel pretty good about McCauley winning. After that, any of those 7 could start falling into place.
100 HH 1. Cara Hesson Point Pleasant
2. Mariah Farley PikeView
3. Nicole Holland Weir
4. Kari Fawcett Grafton
5. Adrian Cunningham Poca
6. Paige Smearman Oak Glen
Hesson has the only sub-16 run. 2 others have been under 16.50. 11 have been under 17.
300 LH 1. Adrian Cunningham Poca
2. Erica White Keyser
3. Michelle Williams Berkeley Springs
4. Kristin Boyd Shady Spring
5. Mariah Farley PikeView
6. Amy Webster Oak Glen
Cunningham is the defending champion and the only one with a run under 48 seconds. 5 have gone
under 49. 7 have gone under 50.
4x100 M 1. Tyler Consolidated
2. Liberty Harrison
3. Keyser
4. Berkeley Springs
5. Shady Spring
6. Oak Hill
Tyler has the only run under 52 seconds. Two others have been under 53. Nine in total have
been under 54. Liberty is running the same unit that won the event last year.
4x200 M 1. Keyser
2. Liberty Harrison
3. Oak Glen
4. Berkeley Springs
5. Shady Spring
6. Weir
Keyser has the only run under 1:50. Liberty only has the 4th best time and only the 5th best
regional performance, but it's the same crew that ran a 1:47 last year. Tyler Consolidated
could conceivably drop Rheanna Foley from one of her individual events and add her to this
relay and potentially score a top 4.
4x400 M 1. Oak Glen
2. Wayne
3. Weir
4. Keyser
5. Berkeley Springs
6. Tyler Consolidated
Oak Glen has the only run under 4:15. 3 have been under 4:20. It's not a particularly strong
event this year, and I don't see a lot of upward mobility in the field. I'm actually only showing
4 teams running under 4:20. As in the 4x200, Tyler Consolidated could move Rheanna Foley into
this event and possibly move into the top 3. Shady Spring could be in the mix as well if they moved
Kristin Boyd back into this event.
4x800 M 1. Weir
2. Philip Barbour
3. Wayne
4. Oak Glen
5. Grafton
6. Keyser
Weir has the only sub-10 run. I don't know if they can go much faster than they did at their
conference qualifier, but I don't think they'll have to. I see Philip Barbour as a pretty easy
# 2. I think Wayne and Oak Glen battle for 3rd. Things get pretty hectic after that. There
are some dark horse teams out there that could jump under 10:30 to score (Berkeley Springs, Scott,
Herbert Hoover, Webster).
Shuttle 1. Magnolia
2. Weir
3. Grafton
4. Tyler Consolidated
5. Shady Spring
6. Keyser
Magnolia has the only runs under 1:08. Weir is the only other one under 1:09. However, there
are an additional 7 teams that have been under 1:10. This one should be nice and close.
H Jump 1. Mikayla Clegg Tyler Consolidated
2. Brenna Williams Independence
3. Aly Smith Magnolia
4. Emilee Comer PikeView
5. Johnna Akers Lincoln
6. Anna Cokeley Ritchie
Only four have cleared 5'0 on the season. Only Clegg has done it three times. Williams and
Smith have done it twice.
P Vault 1. Toni Davisson Berkeley Springs
2. Jackie Clark Tyler Consolidated
3. Tristin Toman Ritchie
4. Haylea Lemasters Tyler Consolidated
5. Amy Barnes Liberty Harrison
6. Jordan Bennett Berkeley Springs
Davisson seems to have figured some things out late in the season. She went from a season best
of 7'0 to 9'0 vaults in her last two meets. Clark has a pair of 8'6 vaults. Toman has three
8'0 vaults.
L Jump 1. Kayley Brothers Frankfort
2. Alexandrian Allen Liberty Harrison
3. Mariah Farley PikeView
4. Candace Brown Summers
5. Hunter Sodaro Braxton
6. Madison Cunningham Lincoln
Brothers has 3 jumps better than anyone else's best. She has four 16' jumps to her credit.
Allen is the only other 16' jumper in the field, and she's done it twice. 6 have jumped
at least 15'7. Brown has only jumped in two meets that I saw.
Shot 1. Harley Stotler Berkeley Springs
2. Emily McClain Roane
3. Jasmine Johnson PikeView
4. Tessa Hickman Roane
5. Alexis Ince Oak Hill
6. Carlee Morris Tyler Consolidated
Stotler has 3 throws better than anyone else's best. Her top throw is over 3' better than
anyone else. It's a complete mess after that. 5 have thrown 33'.
Discus 1. Alicia Marshall Shady Spring
2. Harley Stotler Berkeley Springs
3. Mikayla Little Ritchie
4. Tessa Hickman Roane
5. Madeline Schlabowski Tyler Consolidated
6. Amanda Roush Point Pleasant
Marshall and Stotler have the only 100' throws in the field. They've each done it twice.
3 more have thrown 95'. Another 5 have thrown at least 91'.
High Point Predictions
1. Madison Cunningham Lincoln 25
2. Candace Brown Summers 24
3. Sarah McCauley Philip Barbour 22
4. Shannon Rutherford Wayne 21.50
5. Katie Jan Frankfort 20
