Class AAA Boys Individual Event Predictions

100 M	1. Dante Price Jefferson
	2. Jacob Reynolds	Cabell Midland
	3. Ryan Switzer	George Washington
	4. Ramon Edwards	Woodrow Wilson
	5. Nikko Welsey	Woodrow Wilson
	6. Charles Hython	Robert C. Byrd
None have been under 11.0 FAT. Five have been under 11.20 FAT.

200 M	1. Dante Price Jefferson
	2. Cam Viney Elkins
	3. Jordan Coats	South Charleston
	4. Jacob Reynolds	Cabell Midland
	5. Garrett Grove	Greenbrier East
	6. Tyler Lambert	Jefferson
Four have been between 22.26 and 22.47 FAT.

400 M	1. Cam Viney Elkins
	2. Nick Lopez Martinsburg
	3. Jordan Coats	South Charleston
	4. Jacob Reynolds	Cabell Midland
	5. Donell Ferguson	Musselman
	6. Drew Johnson	Hurricane
Viney and Lopez have been under 50. Viney has been in the low 49's. Dark horse is Braden
Roberts who placed 3rd in the event last year. Johnson was 2nd last year.

800 M	1. Jacob Burcham	Cabell Midland
	2. Brandon Doughty	Jefferson
	3. Matthew Edmunds	Cabell Midland
	4. Ryan Smith Cabell Midland
	5. Dayton McVicker	Fairmont Senior
	6. Cameron Russell	Washington
The first five have been under 2:00. Burcham's best time is under the current State Meet Record
set last year by Andy Bailey. 7 have been under 2:01. Russell isn't one of them, but he won't
have tried to kill the 1600 earlier in the day.

1600 M	1. Jacob Burcham	Cabell Midland
	2. Brandon Doughty	Jefferson
	3. Dayton McVicker	Fairmont Senior
	4. Cody Pelliccioni	Morgantown
	5. Jordan Brown-Stobbe	University
	6. Joe Kirtner Winfield
Burcham has a 4:10 equivalent. Doughty also has been under 4:20. 6 have gone 4:25 or better.
Pelliccioni isn't one of those, but he's put all his marbles in this basket and went 4:18 last year.
There are nine in the field that have been under 4:30.

3200 M	1. Jacob Burcham	Cabell Midland
	2. Dayton McVicker	Fairmont Senior
	3. Brandon Doughty	Jefferson
	4. Eric Graf Jefferson
	5. Tyler Salmons	Cabell Midland
	6. Jordan Brown-Stobbe	University
This should be a lot of fun. Doughty has only run the event hard twice. Burcham and McVicker have
only run it har once. Doughty has already run 9:12. McVicker ran 9:13 indoor. Burcham has only
run 9:21, but he's the most likely to break through and crack the 9:00 barrier.

110 HH	1. Josh Coats South Charleston
	2. Cam Viney Elkins
	3. Zach Shreve Winfield
	4. George Streeter	South Charleston
	5. Cam Jividen Winfield
	6. DeVaughn Palmer	Wheeling Park
Coats, Shreve, and Viney have all been between 14.44 and 14.52. No one else is under 14.91. Five
have been under 15. Viney won the event last year. He'll have already had a long morning of running
the 400 and the 300 Hurdles, though, and Coats beat him under similar circumstances at the Gazette
Relays.

300 IH	1. Cam Viney Elkins
	2. Cam Jividen Winfield
	3. Zach Shreve Winfield
	4. Luke Martin Winfield
	5. Ashton Hyler	Jefferson
	6. Anthony Abston	Robert C. Byrd
If you want your kid to be a great hurdler, apparently you either need to name him Cam or send him
to Winfield. 2 Cam's and 3 Winfield's in the top 4. Viney and Jividen have been under 39. Shreve
has been under 40. Viney is the defending champion.

4x100 M	1. Jefferson
	2. Woodrow Wilson
	3. Musselman
	4. George Washington
	5. Wheeling Park
	6. Parkersburg South
Three have been under 44, and they've each been under 43.70. Jefferson gets the nod on having Dante
Price as the closer.

4x200 M	1. South Charleston
	2. Jefferson
	3. Woodrow Wilson
	4. Musselman
	5. Winfield
	6. Hurricane
South Charleston is the only one to have been under 1:31. 6 have gone under 1:32. Jefferson can add
Dante Price to this lineup. He'll either end up here or in the 4x400. I've put him here thinking
that there's more to gain.

4x400 M	1. Cabell Midland
	2. Jefferson
	3. Wheeling Park
	4. Parkersburg South
	5. Martinsburg
	6. Hurricane
I think Cabell Midland moves Jacob Burcham off this relay to put him on the 4x800. However, they can
move Jacob Reynolds on, which actually makes it better. Jefferson could put Dante Price here, which
might give them the win. They could also potentially move Price and Brandon Doughty here and take
a pot shot at the record. I don't think they make either of those moves. Wheeling Park is the only
other team to have gone under 3:30, though I think both Parkersburg South and Martinsburg can do it.
I like Greenbrier East as a dark horse.

4x800 M	1. Cabell Midland
	2. Jefferson
	3. Washington
	4. Winfield
	5. Martinsburg
	6. Parkersburg
I think Cabell Midland loads it to go for the record. If you add the best times of their top 4 guys,
you have a 7:51.4. The current record is 7:51.9. I think Jefferson loads as well and could crack
that 8:00 barrier. I don't think anyone else is close. I have the next four within 3 seconds of
each other. I like Wheeling Park as a dark horse.

Shuttle	1. South Charleston
	2. Parkersburg South
	3. Winfield
	4. Jefferson
	5. Wheeling Park
	6. Martinsburg
The front 3 have been under 57. Any of them could win it. 6 have been under 60.

H Jump	1. Errin Baynes	Wheeling Park
	2. Garrett Lynch	Parkersburg South
	3. Marcus Jacquez	Fairmont Senior
	4. Jabari Harrison	Woodrow Wilson
	5. Kenny Gunnoe	Ripley
	6. Dillon Lawrentz	Parkersburg South
Baynes topped 7'0 earlier in the season. Lynch is the only other one with multiple jumps of 6'4
or better. Jacquez got his 6'4 at the Regional meet. It's quite a mess after that.

P Vault	1. Alex Howden Hurricane
	2. Roland Rush Washington
	3. Logan Cox Parkersburg South
	4. Sean Cottrill	Parekrsburg South
	5. Nath Thomas Preston
	6. Brady Wolfe Parkersburg
Howden is the only one with three 13'0 vaults, but he only has the 3rd top vault. Rush is the only
one to have cleared 14'0. Cox has gone 13'8. Five have cleared 13'0.

L Jump	1. Purcell Lash	Princeton
	2. Anthony Abston	Robert C. Byrd
	3. Lance Hunter	George Washington
	4. Braden Roberts	Parkersburg South
	5. Errin Baynes	Wheeling Park
	6. George Streeter	South Charleston
Welcome to the annual crap-shoot. Normally, I'd be just as well off drawing names from a hat.
Lash is the defending champion. Six have gone at least 21'0. None have gone 22'0. Only one
has five 20'0 jumps (Abston).

Shot	1. A.J. White Hurricane
	2. Hunter McWhorter	Lewis
	3. Jordan Sorenson	Hedgesville
	4. Dewanya Neal	Wheeling Park
	5. Matt Baroody	Musselman
	6. Tyler Freeman	Greenbrier East
White's top throw is almost 3' further than anyone else's best. His # 5 throw is better than
anyone else's best. McWhorter is the only other thrower to have gone past 50'0, and he's done
it three times.

Discus	1. A.J. White Hurricane
	2. Tyler Truman	Woodrow Wilson
	3. Emerson Gagnon	South Charleston
	4. Dewanya Neal	Wheeling Park
	5. Troy Wingler	Buckhannon-Upshur
	6. Hunter McWhorter	Lewis
White's top throw is 11' further than anyone else's best. His # 5 throw is 2' better than anyone
else's best. Truman and Gagnon have thrown 150'. Wingler finished 2nd in the event last year.

High Point Predictions

4. Brandon Doughty	Jefferson 24
5. A.J. White Hurricane 20
