Class AA Boys Individual Event Predictions

100 M	1. Brandon Franklin	Liberty Harrison
	2. Brendan Kacor	Magnolia
	3. Alex Doak Tyler Consolidated
	4. Marquez Griffin	Point Pleasant
	5. Montel Leggett	Bluefield
	6. Quinton Coats	Oak Hill
Franklin's 5th best time is better than anyone else's best. Kacor has 5 under anyone else's best
after that. 5 have been under 11.50. 9 have been 11.60 or better.

200 M	1. Brandon Franklin	Liberty Harrison
	2. Stephen Rogalski	Magnolia
	3. Brendan Kacor	Magnolia
	4. Alex Doak Tyler Consolidated
	5. Zach Canterbury	Point Pleasant
	6. Josie Pullen	Poca
Franklin is the defending champion and has the best time in the field. This is no given, though, as
Rogalski was faster at the Regional and has a top time within 0.06 of Franklin. Kacor is the only
other one to have gone under 23 seconds. 5 have been under 23.30. 8 Have been under 23.40.

400 M	1. Brandon Franklin	Liberty Harrison
	2. Stephen Rogalski	Magnolia
	3. Josie Pullen	Poca
	4. Zach Canterbury	Point Pleasant
	5. Jovarre Brown	Oak Hill
	6. Taven Rohrbaugh	Keyser
Rogalski has the best time in the field. Franklin is the defending champion. This could go either
way. Pullen is the only other one under 51. 7 have been under 52 seconds.

800 M	1. Taven Rohrbaugh	Keyser
	2. Brian Britton	Ritchie
	3. Isaac Cales Independence
	4. Will Shaffer	Scott
	5. Cody Masters	Ritchie
	6. Brandon Harless	Sherman
Rohrbaugh is the defending champion and has the best time in the field by nearly 2 seconds. Britton
is a solid threat. Those two are the only ones to have run under 2:04.9. Only 3 in the field have
been under 2:05, but 8 have been under 2:06, and 11 have been under 2:07 making this a wide open event.

1600 M	1. Will Shaffer	Scott
	2. Russell Nuckles	Braxton
	3. Brandon Harless	Sherman
	4. Wes Anderson	Philip Barbour
	5. Jake Wise Berkeley Springs
	6. Scotty Treadway	Oak Hill
This could go to any of the top 3. Nuckles won the meeting at the Gazette Relays, but Shaffer has
been fast more consistently. Harless also beat Shaffer at the Gazette Relays. The top 3 have been
under 4:35. No one else has been under 4:43. 6 others have been under 4:47.

3200 M	1. Will Shaffer	Scott
	2. Wes Anderson	Philip Barbour
	3. Cameron Davis	Westside
	4. Alec Hinerman	Magnolia
	5. Forrest Reed	Wayne
	6. Matt King Philip Barbour
After Shaffer, this is pretty much a mess. Shaffer's 9:56 is the only run in the field under 10:10.
There are 6 others who have been under 10:20. Davis has only run 10:35, but he went 10:04 at the State
Meet last year on a previous best of 10:45.

110 HH	1. Dylan Trout Greenbrier West
	2. James Miller	Oak Hill
	3. Jordan Smith	Tyler Consolidated
	4. Chris Setliff	Shady Spring
	5. Matt Shillingburg	Keyser
	6. Rickie Hathaway	Philip Barbour
Trout and Miller have been under 16 seconds. No one else has been under 16.60. Trout has been under
16 twice. 7 in the field have been under 17 seconds.

300 IH	1. Isaac Graham	Tyler Consolidated
	2. Dylan Trout Greenbrier West
	3. Jessie Hilvers	Ritchie
	4. Rickie Hathaway	Philip Barbour
	5. Matt Shillingburg	Keyser
	6. Luke Hottle Roane
Graham is the only one with multiple runs under 41 seconds. Trout has the top time in the field.
They are the only ones under 42. 4 others have been under 43.

4x100 M	1. Magnolia
	2. Point Pleasant
	3. Berkeley Springs
	4. Lincoln
	5. Keyser
	6. Bluefield
Magnolia has the best time in the field by nearly a full second. There is a possibility that they
could pull Stephen Rogalski off this relay to shore up there 4x400 and still win this one. It would
be a risk. Magnolia is the only team to have been under 45. 7 others have been under 46.

4x200 M	1. Magnolia
	2. Berkeley Springs
	3. Point Pleasant
	4. Bluefield
	5. Lincoln
	6. Keyser
Magnolia could move Brendan Kacor onto this relay and seal the deal, but I don't think they will,
and I don't think they'll have to. They've gone under 1:33 (hand-timed) without him, and only
Berkeley Springs has been under 1:34. 6 have been under 1:35, and 8 have been under 1:35.10.

4x400 M	1. Point Pleasant
	2. Ritchie
	3. Philip Barbour
	4. Magnolia
	5. Berkeley Springs
	6. Keyser
This is a tough, tough call. The top 4 have season best times that are just 0.52 apart. If Magnolia
moves Rogalski onto this relay, it probably wins with ease. Point Pleasant and Ritchie are very
evenly matched. Philip Barbour ran nearly as fast as those two in the Regional and didn't have the
help to get there. The top 4 have been under 3:34. Berkeley Springs has run a 3:35.

4x800 M	1. Ritchie
	2. Keyser
	3. Magnolia
	4. Berkeley Springs
	5. Oak Hill
	6. Weir
Ritchie is the only team to have been under 8:30. 5 have been under 8:36. I don't see a tremendous
amount of upward potential for anyone beyond what they've already run. Philip Barbour is a dark horse.

Shuttle	1. Greenbrier West
	2. Keyser
	3. Tyler Consolidated
	4. Philip Barbour
	5. Webster
	6. Shady Spring
Greenbrier West has a run under 1:01. Keyser has the best time in the field, but that was with Wesley
Washington in the lineup. Webster has also gone under 1:02, but their second best run is over 1:04.
Only 5 have been under 1:04.

H Jump	1. Peyton Hartman	Keyser
	2. Matt Knowlton	Ravenswood
	3. Dylan Evans Keyser
	4. Luther Stoots	Webster
	5. Trey Ross Keyser
	6. Hunter Lemasters	Tyler Consolidated
Hartman is the only one inf the field to have gone higher than 6'2 and is the defending champion.
Knowlton has multiple 6'2 jumps. Only four have cleared 6'0.

P Vault	1. Cody Masters	Ritchie
	2. Hunter Lemasters	Tyler Consolidated
	3. Paige Haught	Ritchie
	4. Cody Hall Ritchie
	5. Morgan Flora	Point Pleasant
	6. Matt Arrowood	Berkeley Springs
Masters is the only one to have been higher than 12'0, and he's been 14'4. Three others have cleared
12'0, and three more have cleared 11'6.

L Jump	1. Brandon Franklin	Liberty Harrison
	2. Brendan Kacor	Magnolia
	3. Tyler Chipps	Webster
	4. Patrick Watson	Ravenswood
	5. Matt Shillingburg	Keyser
	6. David Keen PikeView
Franklin is the defending Champion and has the only 22'0 jump in the field. Kacor has the only other
21' jump in the field. The pair are the only two to have more than three 20' jumps. Three others
have 20' jumps. Three others have jumped 19'10.

Shot	1. Mark Britton	Ritchie
	2. Matt Rigss Magnolia
	3. Steven Bates	Lincoln
	4. Jared Shipe Ritchie
	5. Keith Ferguson	Bluefield
	6. Dustin Spencer	Point Pleasant
Riggs has the best throw in the group. Britton has the most 50' throws and a better series. Those
two have thrown 52'. No one else has been over 49'. Two others have hit 48'. Two others have hit
47'.

Discus	1. Mark Britton	Ritchie
	2. Matt Riggs Magnolia
	3. Ethan Delekta	Oak Glen
	4. Trey Livingston	Point Pleasant
	5. Jared Shipe Ritchie
	6. Quentin Buckley	Poca
Britton has 5 throws of at least 170', including a 181'4 toss at the LKC Championships. The State
Meet Record is in jeopardy. The All-Time State Best (not just State Meet) is 183'5. Riggs has 5
throws of at least 153'. Delekta has a pair of 150' throws. Only 1 other has been over 140'. Only
7 in total have been over 130'.
