Age Divisions & Eligibility Requirements:

 

Age Divisions

Sub–Bantam (born 2002 or later)

Bantam (born 2000 - 2001

Midget (born 1998–1999)

Youth (born 1997–1996)

Intermediate (born 1995–1994)

Young (born 1993-1992)

* athletes born in 1991 are also eligible if they do not turn 19 on or before 7/31/2010

 

Individuals: Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States, and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete in these Championships.  See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions.  A competitor must compete in his/her age division only.  There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays.  Competitors in the Bantam and Midget divisions may compete in a maximum of three events, including relays.  Competitors in the Youth, Intermediate, and Young divisions may compete in a maximum of four events, including relays.  Combined events are not included in the event count.  All athletes must be 2010 members of USATF in good standing. 

 

Relay Teams: Only registered 2010 USATF member clubs may enter a relay team(s).  All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF membership. Membership is available at (usatf.org).  

 

ENTRY PROCESS:

Entry must be completed at (CoachO.com) pick the WV event from Track meet schedule list.

Individual Entries: $ 10.00 per athlete

Relay Entries: $ 10.00 per athlete

Combined Event Entries: $ 10.00 per athlete

On-Time Registration: Entry forms must be received by June 22nd ,2010

Day of Event: Entries closed at 9:00 AM

 

All entries must be made using the official entry form.  Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver’s license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted with each entry form.  For relay team entry, please follow the instructions on the official Relay Roster Form.    

 

 

AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals awarded to the top six individuals (top three teams in the relay events) in each event of each age division. 

 

ADVANCEMENTS: The top six individuals and relay teams in each event of each age division will advance to the USATF Region 5 Championships on July 8,9,10 & 11, 2010 at Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY. 

 

All advancement/entry forms for the USATF Region 5 Championships must be completed, paid for, and submitted (cash, checks or money order ) prior to leaving Laidley is available at: www.usatf.org/events/2010/USATFJuniorOlympicTFChampionships.

Running Events take precedence over Field Events; get excused from the Field Event Official, run your race and return within 10 minutes to the Field Official and report in.

IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: 4:30 PM in Officials lounge

                                               

If yes, pay Regional entry fee fill out waiver & have parent or guardian sign it.

EVENT CHECK-IN: There will be separate check-in areas for Running and Field events. Athletes must check in at these designated areas 20 minutes prior to the event's scheduled starting time. All athletes will be required to remain in the designated warm-up areas after checking in.

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front on their jerseys only.  If an athlete loses the bib number, a replacement can be purchased for a fee of $ 5.00.  Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes. 

PROTESTS: There will be a $ 100.00 fee for all protests.  Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced.  The protest fee will be refunded only if the protest is upheld.
