NORTH CENTRAL ATHLETIC CONFERNENCE 
Track & Field Championships
May 6th, 2010
Dear Track & Field Coaches,
Please adhere to the following guidelines for the NCAC Track
& Field Championships at
MEET ENTRIES:
Three (3) entries per event and one (1) relay team. Hy-tek meet manager event file will be made available on www.runwv.com.
The deadlines for the NCAC Track & Field Championships are as follows:
1. All entries are to be emailed to dlcrawford@verizon.net by Friday, April 30th.
2. Any additions or scratches can be emailed to the same email address above by noon on May 5th in order to cut down on scratches the day of.
3. Scratches/Replacements can also be made on site prior to the coaches meeting at 4:45pm.
FIELD EVENTS:
We will start field events at 5:00pm. The top seven athletes will advance to finals. Athletes will be given three additional jumps/throws in finals. Field event order: Boys HJ, Girls LJ, Boys PV, Boys Discus, Girls Shot Put.
The opening heights will be determined by the 6th ranked athlete in each event.
BULLPEN:
The bullpen and check-in will be on the benches at high jump end of the track. Coaches please tell your athletes they are NOT to check in at the start line, where the equipment is located. Also, remind athletes they are not to jump the fence or be hanging out inside the track if they are not warming-up or participating in an event.
RUNNING EVENTS:
We will start running events at 5:00pm. Heat winners and next fastest times will advance to finals.
JURY OF APPEALS:
The jury of appeals consists of Ted Williams (EHS A.D.), Matt Lewis (E), Jackie Zuliani (B-U), Ken Hibbs (EF), Ken Scherich (FS), Paul Martin (P), Dan Demchak (U), Mike Ryan (M), Jeff Crane (NM)
ADMISSION:
The cost of admission is $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. All gate proceeds are given to the NCAC.
CONCESSIONS:
A concession stand will be open during the event.
T-SHIRTS:
All NCAC Conference T-shirts will be pre-sold only. Each team will be responsible for taking orders & sizes on the form provided. You must let Coach Lewis know by Tuesday, April 27th quantity and sizes. Your shirts will be boxed and ready for you upon arrival at the meet. Please have money ready for payment NO SHIRTS WILL BE SOLD ON MEET DAY. If parents would like to order shirts, please include this with your totals. Cost will be $12.00. Please make checks payable to Elkins High School Boosters.
HOSPITALITY
MEAL:
All coaches and officials will be provided a meal immediately after the last heat of the boys 400m run. The break in between sessions will be about 30 minutes.
TIMING/SCORING:
We will utilize the Finish Lynx and Hy-tek systems. Results and scoring updates will be announced via the PA system after each result is determined.
HURDLE ASSISTANCE
& ASSIGNMENTS:
The Elkins High Athletes will be responsible for all hurdle movement and during races. We will not be assigning coaches to hurdle rows as we have done in the past.
FACILITY RULES:
Visiting team restrooms are located inside the
TRAINING STAFF:
Trainers will be available for treatment of injuries and taping. Any athlete requiring a trainer tape an injury must provide the trainer with their own tape.
RESULTS:
Results will be posted to runwv.com immediately following the meet. If you have a flash drive, you may certainly bring it to get the results that evening and save so much paper being printed.
