Dear Coach:

 

            This is your information packet on the 2010 Little Kanawha Conference Championship Track Meet to be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Cline Stansberry Stadium in West Union, WV. 

 

Time:  Field events will begin at 4:00pm. We hope to start running events around 4:30pm.  We will follow the regular format for a two-session meet.

 

Awards:  Trophies will be given to the 2nd & 3rd place teams and to the top individual in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.  Also, 1st through 3rd place in all individual & relay events will receive medals, while 4th through 6th place will receive ribbons.  (The team champions & the top 14 scorers (All-Conference) in each division will receive their awards at the annual LKC Banquet.) 

 

Entry Fee:  None

 

Entry Deadline:  Friday, April 30, 2010 if you are faxing and Monday, May 3 if you are using team manager or team manager lite.  If you are faxing, use the number 1-775-655-5335.  If you e-mail them, see the directions below.  E-mail is the preferred method!

 

Entries:  Teams will be permitted to enter 3 individuals per individual event and 1 relay team per relay event. 

 

Scratches:  Please FAX your scratches and replacements before noon on meet day (1-775-655-5335).  Last minute scratches and replacements will also be accepted until 3:00pm at the meet; however, it would be greatly appreciated if you make every effort to get this information to us no later than noon.

 

Miscellaneous:  The concession stand will be open.  Starting blocks will be provided.  The longest spikes allowed on our track are ¼ inch.  The following field events will be contested first:  Girls high jump & shot put and Boys pole vault, long jump, & discus.  There will be trials and finals in the throws and long jump.  We will have a meal for coaches between the 400m dash and 4x800m relay.

 

There are two ways to get your entries to us:

 

 

1)  You could download the event file for the Little Kanawha Conference Meet, which will be posted on www.runwv.com.  To do this you will need the Hy-Tek Team Manager or Team Manager Lite software.  If you do not have this, it can be found and downloaded from www.bridgeporttrack.com.    You then need to download the Little Kanawha Conference Meet file and import it into the Team Manager or Team Manager Lite program that you have already downloaded.  Then you do your entries, export the meet entries, and e-mail your entry file to runwv@runwv.com.  This is the preferred method.  It is very accurate, efficient and saves time, as the entries do not have to be typed into our computer.  This is good for you as your entries will be as accurate as you make them.  They go straight from you to our computer.  Also, you can use the Team Manager Lite program for later meets, including the regional, with great ease and efficiency.  It’s good for us as your entry can be put into the Hy-Tek program in a matter of seconds using this method!

 

2)  You could fax your completed entry form to Josh Weekley (RunWV) at 1-775-655-5335.  Please use the correct type of entry form which has the athletes’ names at the left and the events they will be participating in on the right!  A blank version of this form can be downloaded from RunWV.com in the top section of the News & Notes (RunWV’s Generic Entry Form).
