Sprinter clear first and second rounds and head to finals at the prestigious
Russell Blount East Coast elite Track Meet at Duke University in Durham N.C.
In boys 7
& 8 Nathan Barham of Charleston will be in the 100 meters finals tomorrow
after posting a personal best 15.05 se. in the semi – finals while, Teammate
Jon Brown of Dunbar will be in the boys 9 & 10 100 meters 13.94 clocking.
Qualifying in
to 100m in 12:12 and the 200m 25.12 is Bryce Jones of
Sam Thomas of
Charleston continued set PR’s with third place finished in both the boys 11
& 12, 3000m in 10:39.22 and the 1500m in 5:00.46.
Trevor Barnes
of Hurricane placed 5th in the 11-12 boys
Shot put throwing 32 ft .76 inches.
Caleb Pell of Looneyville finished 10th in the 1500 in 5:02.47

Invitational meet record in the 17-18 men Discus with at 54.61 meters or 179
ft. 2 in. and also finished fifth in the Shot Put.

In boys 7
& 8 Nathan Barham of Charleston finished 5th in the 100 meters finals in 15.14 after posting
a personal best 15.05 sec. in the semi – finals while, Teammate Jon Brown of
Dunbar was sixth in the boys 9 & 10 , 100 meters in 14.27 sec. before his
performance of the year taking 2nd place in the 400 meters with a PR
at 1:05.79 seconds. Bryce Jones of
Jordan Tate of
Nitro was third in the girls 15-16 high jump clearing
5’ 1.75”.
Caleb Pell of Looneyville finished third in the boy 13-14 3000m in
10:47.74
