What is the Tri-State Athletic Club?

Founded in 2004, the Tri-State Athletic Club (TSAC) is a volunteer, non-profit track & field club for anyone ages 6 and up in the tri-state area. We are a USA Track & Field-member club established with the goal of increasing participation in the sport of track & field.

Who can join?

The TSAC is open to anyone who wishes to participate. The only requirement is that boys and girls be at least 6 years old by December 31, 2009. We have had members as young as 6 up through members who are currently in middle and high school.

When are practices/meets?

We will begin practice Tuesday, April 14 at 5:30 pm at Spring Valley High School. We will most likely practice 2-3 times a week for first 2-3 weeks and then resume our normal spring/summer practice schedule of Monday through Thursday at 5:30 pm. Practices are not mandatory as many of our young men/women are involved in multiple sports and activities both in and out of school.

During the summer, we compete in the USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field program, as well as the Capital City Striders Invitational, and our own series of all-comers meets. We will also take all qualifying athletes who want to go to the USATF Youth Outdoor Championships and Russell Blount East Coast Invitational. We try to limit travel, and many kids will only have one or two overnight/multi-night trips this summer.

What are the fees?

Memberships are $100.00 for the first child and $50.00 for each additional child in a family. The fee covers the cost of their USATF membership and uniform with all remaining money going towards entry fees and club expenses. We are committed to being accessible to any one who has a desire to be a part of what we building.
