Tri-State Athletic Club All-Comers Meets
The
Tri-State Athletic Club will conduct its 4th Annual Summer Series of
All-Comers meets beginning Tuesday, July 7th at Spring Valley High School
and continuing on July 14th and 21st. All meets will begin at 6:30pm and will consist of
individual events and relays. There is a $5.00 entry fee and no limit to the
number of events in which a person can compete. Parents are encouraged to enter
and compete alongside their children because track & field is a lifetime
sport and our meets are intended to provide a fun, family-orientated
competitive experience that can be enjoyed by athletes of any age or ability.
The first
meet will be the final competition for Tri-State AC athletes before the USATF
Region 5 Championship July 9-12 in Charleston,
WV. Nearly 30 athletes from the
Tri-State AC will be competing against athletes from West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky,
and Michigan.
Athletes who place in the top three in individual events and relays (top two in
multi-events) at the Region 5 meet qualify for the 2009 USATF Junior Olympic Track
& Field Championships to be held July 28-August 2 in Greensboro, NC.
