The following e-mail was sent to me this morning.

"My good friend JOHN KISER ran a 4:32 Mile in 9th grade, Jr High at the time. Horace Mann Jr High Charleston 1975 Conference Meet
4:18 as a Sophmore at Charleston High
went on to run sub 4:10, after he transferred to California HS in Whittier CA

His 8th grade time was 4:39 same as the current kid in Barboursville maybe .5 sec faster

John was the best Jr High/HS middle distance runner ever in the state.
You can confirm with Bill Posey, Dave Wilson, all those guys..... John was a few years younger and trained with them......phenomonal

went on to Adams State College indoor All-American
