is some information on the 2008 Doddridge County High School Season Opener Meet
to be held on
Time: Field events will begin at
Awards: There are no awards for this meet.
Entry Fee: There is no entry fee for this meet.
Entry Deadline: Monday, March 17, 2008. (This is pushing it a bit, so please fax them (775-655-5335) on this day at the latest!) If you haven’t had a meet yet, please use reasonable estimates. (Not last year’s PR’s, but what is likely now.)
Entries: A team may enter up to 4 athletes in each running event 400m or shorter, and as many as they want in races that are 800m or longer and field events. Note: Only 3 athletes per team may place in any individual event. You may also run extra relay teams, but only one relay team per school can place.
Scratches: Please FAX your scratches and replacements before
noon on meet day (775-655-5335).
Last minute scratches and replacements will also be accepted until
Miscellaneous: The concession stand will be open. Starting blocks will be provided. The longest spikes allowed on our track are ¼ inch. The following field events will be contested first: Girls shot put, pole vault, & long jump and Boys discus & high jump. Participants in the throws and long jump will get 4 attempts. There will be no finals!
