Former George Washington and WVU runner Zach Sabatino finished 6th this weekend at the US Cross Country Championships held in Boulder, CO. Sabatino toured the 12K course in 38:16 (5:08 per mile). Alan Culpepper won the men's race and Deena Kastor won the women's race. Sabatino finished just 29 seconds behind Dathan Ritzenhein. Zach Sabatino was not the only person representing West Virginia at the US Cross Country Championships. Josh Simpson (Oak Glen) finished 45th in the Men's Open race. Mark Cucuzzella (lives in Shepherdstown) finished 100th in the Men's Open Race. Jennifer Davis (Hampshire, WVU) finished 30th in the Women's Open Race. Keri Bland (North Marion, WVU) finished 8th in the Women's Junior Race. Maria Dalzot (Morgantown, WVU) finished 23rd in the Women's Junior Race.
