is the information concerning this year’s Coca Cola Classic Tyler Consolidated
Invitational track meet, which will be held on Thursday, April 5th 2007. Please make note of the deadlines. It is vital that we
have your entries in our hands in a timely manner. Your entry fee of $35.00
per team or $70.00 per school along with your entry form is due no later than
Monday, April 2nd, 2007, by 10:00 a.m.
Please inform your team
members of the following:
Spikes are not permitted in the stands, inside the school facility or on the shot and discus pads. Boom boxes are also prohibited. Athletes who have not been called to participate, unauthorized coaches, parents and spectators are not permitted inside the fence. Anyone caught jumping over the fence will be disqualified from further participation in the meet.
The
press box side of the field is reserved for general admission seating. Please
inform your athletes to set up on the opposite side of the field to avoid any
problems. Coaches are reminded to please police their athletes in the stands.
Rude and/or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated.
Failure to comply with these rules can result in disqualification from the meet. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Your
bus will be directed where to park as it crosses the bridge to our facility.
Please indicate your name and the phone numbers where
you can be reached at the top of the form.
Please
type or print in black ink all of your athletes names
and their best performances from this year only. Athletes must be listed
last name first and then the first name whether they are participating or not.
Do not enter athletes in more than four events and two athletes per event.
Indicate
your team’s best relay times for this year in the spaces at the bottom. Any relays left
blank or marked with an “X” will not be entered and will not be added later.
If
you have Hytek Team Manager you may email your entries to me that way.
Otherwise, mail or Fax your entry sheet to the address below. It must be
received no later than Monday, April 2nd, 2007. Entries must be received
no later than 10:00 a.m. on April 2nd!

Field Events: Scratches at the field. 3 attempts in shot put, discus, and long jump, finals to follow.
Use your own implements. All implements are subject to inspection. Pole
vaulters must have required form with proper signatures. Please use the WVSSAC
pole vaulter’s weight verification form with all signatures. Your vaulter’s must hand this completed form to the official at
the event prior to participating.
Running
events: Trials, then 2 heat final in
100, 200, 100hh and 110hh.
¼” Pyramid spikes

Awards: Medals for 1st - 3rd
place. Ribbons for 4th- 6th place.
Team plaque for
winner through 3rd place and overall
Facility Markings: Only adhesive tape is permitted on the
high jump pit.
Tape or ½ tennis
balls are permitted on the track.
Attention Coaches
ü
There will be a coaches meeting on the track directly below the press
box at 3:45 p.m.
ü
The new rule concerning the use of electronic devices inside the track
venue will be enforced.
ü
All pole vault participants must have a pole vault weight verification
form with proper signatures.
ü
Make sure your athletes are properly equipped and their uniforms are
legal. Removal of uniform inside the track venue is illegal with the exception
of shoes.
ü
Athletes may scratch with NO REPLACEMENT at the field events. Any
scratches with replacements must be done on the scratch form and turned in to
the press box.
ü
If you are handing in scratches on the day of the meet make sure your
athlete’s assigned number is on the scratch/replace form.
ü
Only athletes who have been called to an event are permitted inside the
track venue.
ü
Coaches who are working in an official capacity are permitted inside
the track venue with approval of the games committee.
ü

Chris Kreger, Belinda Bland, Jeanne Barnes, and Judy Grace.
