ATTENTION ALL COACHES: THERE WILL BE AN EVENT MEET FILE SENT TO EACH COACH THAT EXPRESSES AN INTEREST AND POSTED ON WWW.KTCCCA.ORG AND WWW.RUNWV.COM. YOU CAN SAVE MONEY BY ENTERING ELECTRONICALLY THROUGH HY-TEK.

 

THE MEET WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 11 BOYS AND 11 GIRLS TEAMS THAT INFORM ME THAT THEY ARE COMING!!

 

ENTRIES:    Three (3) individuals from a school in the individual events.

                       Four (4) individuals from a school on a relay plus 2 alternates.

 

                       NOTE:  Remember individuals may not participate in more

                                    than 3 events.

 

RELAY CARDS:  We realize that names will change on meet day but do the           

                       best you can at getting your names right.  Relay cards will be

given to coaches when they check in and athletes will give them          to the clerk as they report on meet day.

 

ENTRY FEES:   $30 per school (girls and boys combined = $25) if entering non-electronically. $20 per school if you send entries using Hy-Tek. “B Teams” will be $10 per school (girls and boys combined = $10) regardless of method of entering the meet. The money will go towards paying meet officials and Hy-Tek operators.

ENTRY FORM:  Whether you enter electronically or by using the entry form, make sure you list the best performances of your athletes. Putting nothing down for a performance will have your athlete in a slow flight or heat. 

 

FACILITY:  Our track complex features an 8-lane rubberized track with a legal pole vault pit and long/triple jump pit. Locker rooms, shower facilities and additional restrooms are available inside Ashland Paul Blazer High School’s Anderson Gymnasium entrance.

 

Awards:  Team awards will be presented to the top (3) teams and will be

presented as soon as possible at the conclusion of the meet. Individual awards will include a high-point award that will be given to the top boys and girls performer.

                      

 

Scoring:      10 – 8 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1

Three individuals from a team may score.

General Information:    We will stay as close to the schedule as possible but it will be a rolling schedule so make sure your athletes know what that means.

 

Coaches it is very important that you acquaint your athletes with track etiquette as this will carry over through the entire year. 

 

ADMISSION WILL BE CHARGED FOR SPECTATORS ENTERING THE FACILITY.

MEET TIME SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS

Field Events will start at the Same Time as Running Events

At 5:15 pm.

 

Boys Long Jump followed by Girls Long Jump.  Girls Triple Jump followed by Boys Triple Jump.  Boys Shot Put will be followed by Girls Shot Put.  Girls Discus will be followed by boys Discus.  Boys and Girls High Jump and Pole Vault will be conducted at the same time, but scored separately.

 

Long Jumpers and Triple Jumpers will receive 3 jumps.  Shot putters and discus throwers will receive 3 throws.
