Throws Clinic and Freshman Track Meet at Preston High on Saturday, March 25th

Ritchie County Coach, Greg Henger, will host a "throws clinic" for athletes interested in the the shot put and discus. Coach Henger will be assisted by Preston High Throws Coach, Rich Goff.

The clinic will be held at the Preston High School Gymnasium on Saturday, March 25th. Coach Henger has developed a strong throws program at Ritchie County High School with numerous athletes earning all-state honors. Below is the schedule of the days events.

THROWS CLINIC AT PRESTON HIGH
9:00 - 12:00 Discus Technique
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch (on your own)
12:30 - 3:00 Shot Put Technique

The cost of the clinic will be $10.00 for athletes and free for middle and high school coaches. The throws clinic will be open to the first twenty-five applicants.

In conjuction to the throws clinic, we will also be hosting a freshman track and field meet on March 25th. This one session meet will be for high school freshmen and will begin at 10:00 a.m. There will be no fee to attend this meet. Coaches are encouraged to bring their young athletes to this early season meet. This will be a great opportunity to acclimate the freshman members of your team to track and field.
