Cabell Midland would like to invite all schools to the 2006 Carlos Akers Memorial on Saturday, April 8th.  High Schools from WV, Ohio, & Kentucky will compete this year.  Cabell Midland has a 9 lane Seal Flex rubberized surface, which was re-surfaced last year.  All jumping areas are Seal Flex rubberized & the throws areas have oversized concrete surfaces.  We have also just purchased a new FinishLynx electronic timing system, which will ensure the accuracy of all times and places.  We want all teams to have a great experience at Cabell Midland and we will do everything possible to achieve this goal.

The later meet start is due to ACT testing.  However, we run a very fast meet, so your teams will return home at a decent hour.
       
Awards: Teams 1-3 for girls & boys  
  Individual 1-6 for girls & boys  
       
Cost: $35.00 per team or $60.00 for both girls & boys
       
Entries: 3 athletes per running & field event with 1 relay team per event
Entry Methods:

We strongly encourage that all teams submit their entry using Hy-tek Team Manager.  Using this form of entry saves us a lot of time and is greatly appreciated.  If you have problems with this, you can also fill out our meet entry form from within MS Word and e-mail us the file.  This also saves us time because it is so much easier to read.  If you cannot use either of these methods, you can mail or fax your completed entry forms to the following:

Entry Deadline:

For those using Hy-tek team manager to submit your entry, the entry deadline is Thursday April 6th by noon.  If you are using any other method, your entry must be received NO LATER THAN Monday April 3rd by noon.  In addition, we ask that each team submit a full team roster that includes each athlete's grade level by March 27th (we do not need this from those who use team manager).
