When: Saturday, April 22, 2006, 9:00 am. Coaches and team captains meeting will be @
8:15 am.
Where:
Who: Max 25 HS teams (per gender) and max 10 regional college teams.
The meet will
fill on a first come first serve basis.
Contracts will be sent to those committed teams in December. To guarantee a spot and the discounted entry
fee, signed contracts must be received by Friday, January 13, 2006.
Entries: One (1) relay per team in each event, three
(3) individuals per team in each event. Entries are due by Wednesday, April 19,
2006 by 7:00 pm. All entries are to be
received in Hy-Tek Team Manager format.
Free downloads of Hy-Tek Team Manager Lite and info on how to install it
will be available on the meets web page which will be up in the near future
(after the New Year) or at www.msnsports.net
. There will be a $25 service charge for
entries received in any other format that Hy-Tek Team Manager. There will be
no additional entries accepted after Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Each
athlete may enter no more than 4 events. This includes field events and
relays.
High School Entry Fee: Signed contracts received before January 13
are $30 per gender ($60 total for a boys’ and girls’ team). After January 13, the entry fee will be $70
per gender ($140 for a boys and a girl’s team). Please make checks payable to Morgantown High Track & Field.
Scratches: Scratches and substitutions must be e-mailed

Thursday, April 20, 2006 by 5:00 pm.
The
honest effort rule will be in effect. That is, if an athlete
scratches from an event after Thursday, April 20, 2006 that athlete will be
scratch from the entire meet. Heat
sheets and lane assignments will be available online by noon on Friday, April
21, 2006.
Field events: High school
field events will be High Jump, Long Jump, Shot, Discus, Pole Vault. No high school athlete affiliated with a high
school team will be allowed in the Javelin, Triple Jump, or Hammer Throw. There will be three attempts given to athletes in all field events.
Three additional attempts will be awarded to athletes making the finals. The top six performances in the trials will
make the finals. Flight order in these
events will be best-seeded flight first. High
School Opening heights: Boys HJ 5’04”, Girls HJ 4’04”, Boy’s Pole Vault
8’00”, Girl’s Pole Vault 6’06”
Track events: Heat order will be fastest seeded section
first.
Lunch: There will be lunch provided to coaches (two (2) coaches per
gender) and officials on Saturday.
High School Awards: Custom awards to top six in each event,
no team scoring or individual
Results: Results will be posted at www.msnsports.net , www.runwv.com and www.milestat.com.
T-shirts: T-shirts and spikes will be sold during
the meet.
Concessions: A variety of hot and cold concessions
will be sold during the meet.
Admission: $4 per
car. Each team will receive two
free parking passes.

Sanctioning: The meet will be sanctioned by the
WVSSAC and the NHFS for interstate competition. All schools must be a member of their State
High School Association.
Protest
Fee: A $50
cash protest fee must be paid at the time a protest is filed. This fee will be
refunded only if your protest is upheld.

notes:
Athletes must enter and exit the
track through the clerk area. The clerk area is located behind the 100 m
start line. Athletes will be disqualified for the rest of meet for
jumping the fence. Only medical staff, officials
and athletes that are competing will be allowed on the track. Coaches must remain outside the fenced area
around the track.
We will run the 400m Intermediate
Hurdles. We do not run the 4 x 200m.
One eighth inch (1/8") spikes are
recommended. The wearing of spikes longer than 1/4" will result in
disqualification from that event.
Starting blocks will be provided, but you may
bring your own.
Individual throwing implements may be
weighed and inspected if a record is broken or a qualifying mark is obtained.
No electronic equipment will be allowed
inside the fenced in area around the track.
(cell phones, walkmans, ipods, etc.)
There is not room around WVU’s track to set
up team tents. However, the indoor track, which is
adjacent to the outdoor track, will be utilized as both a warm-up area and will be open for teams to congregate.
The meet will not run on a rolling
schedule. Each event will have a
starting time. These will posted on
Friday, April 21, 2006 in addition to the heat sheets.
